I've just had to replace my N3DS XL, before I did this I made a emunand backup.

Issues is now i think the new 3ds i just got has a different nand according to pialects guide as this one is 1.21gb.

How would I go about restoring my 1.86gb emunand backup to the new 1.21gb emunand?

Even if they were the same size, you should never put emuNAND from one system onto another, it won't work.

The size difference comes down to the brand of NAND chip iirc. Toshiba and Samsung are the two variants..? You'll need somebody to confirm it, but it's something like that. I'm certain on the first point though.

And that is why you should keep a copy of the game CIAs on your PC.
Or minimum a copy of your ticket.db so you can grab em using Funky/GroovyCIA for sweet download speeds.
