Hacking can i download wiiu (Game) updates via menu if im NNU patched & spoofed?

i was wondering if i can download wiiu (Game Disk) updates via menu if im NNU patched & spoofed? or is that still way too risky?

From what I've heard from others, no, you need to use the WUP Installer for any kind of installation. Posting even tho I'm on latest because nobody else will probably reply

WUP Installer works on Physical disk too? and i download those with NUS Grabber. im still not too thrilled about WUP Installer not having any kind of indication as to when the installation as to when the installation is done. and theirs no alternative to WUP Installer no?

As far as I know, it treats everything as a title, even discs, still 00050000-10176900 for Splatoon on my disc with Cafiine, same as it would be if I'd bought it from the eShop, and updates use the same uniqueID but use 0005000E and DLC uses 0005000C (with different versions as packages). There is no alternative, no.

thanks for the info, one more thing, nus grabber not working for me, but U wizzard does, as for downloading titles do i remove the "-" or leave it? and do i hit decrypt contents or no?

Are you sure? I think I had a message after the installation was done in the newest version the last time I tried (last week). I only installed the system version title, so it was only a small title.

Uwizard won't work for WUPInstaller, It doesn't get the .h3 files which are needed for installing.

Remove the "-" for downloading.

Nusgrabber GUI seems bugged. Jnustool needs a common key somewhere don't really see a way do get these downloads

I never used jnustool but the common key is only used for decryption - which you don't need for an update of a disc game.
I'm using newnusgrabbergui.

PS: is your black wiiu still on 5.5.0 ?

and yea my black wii u is sitting in my storage unit now on 5.5.0. i just transfered my NNID from it

You should probably update it to 5.5.1 before the next update is rolled out (which should be very soon - so I would do it now).
Nwplayer has finished the loadiine 5.5.1 porting and if a kernel exploit is released you are ready to go.

i dont really care about any new exploits, i got tired of SOON™, thats why i brought a second wiiU this one is on the "Golden FW 5.3.2" so as much as i miss my save data and the black color and the storage that black wii u will make a great dust collector

I wish you could update by doing NNU Patcher and Spoof. It gets tiring re-downloading games from eShop just to update them since I can't update with WUP Installer. I have mostly eShop games on my external HDD since I have a white Wii U and half of the 8gb storage is used by the firmware. If I install updates they work fine but if I try to move them to the HDD they just overwrite the game and I wind up with only the update data. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
