Hacking Which CFW for A9LH is the best?

I'm actually happy with menuhax on my n3ds, but I was bored one evening and I decided to dump OTP, succesfully. I restored my sysnand backup and I'm now trying to decide what CFW I should choose, as I know there is AuReiNAND and CakesFW and soon Gateway, too.
And menuhax loaded on my 3ds ctrbootmanager instead of hbl, so that would be nice If I could still use ctrbm, so I can decide what kind of cfw I want to start.
As I know, there is no CFW out there that has EmuNAND, regionfree and integrated TWL/AGB_firm sig patch all in one. And of course I still want to use GW. What should I choose....?

It would be so nice if CakesFW would have TWL/AGB patch and integrated/autoboot NTR ingame menu (which include regionfree), that would be the best all in one CFW and no other have to be used

The latest AuReiNAND comes with region free. Not sure about TWL/AGB though.

Try them and figure it out which best suits your needs.
I have used Cakes, Reinand and AuReinand, they all the best!

I wasn't rude. Let me rephrase. What are you doing on this forum? You got your menuhax-ed 3DS but when you come in here(which is 1 hour per day) wtf are you browsing? Don't you see anything new and want to search more info about it? Or do you say to yourself "oh they will explain it to me like they have done 100000 times before"? (same for this topic)

Right now you have AuReiNand, ReiNand, CakesFW, Cosmo3D and Rxtools.

- ReiNand is the official one (AuRei is a mod and more bleeding edge as it gets more updates than the official one. think of it like the Nightlies of a Cyanogenmod ROM). Works on N3DS, not sure if it supports O3DS yet but I heard it does now or will in the close future.
- AuReiNand is the mod of ReiNand, has more features and is more noob friendly.
- CakesFW works with patches called "cakes". It's not as used and as updated but in my opinion works best for me.
- Cosmo3D is well, minimal. Can't say much about it since I haven't tried it.
- RxTools... stay away from it at this point in time if you want A9LH.


They all do the same function-wise and you can get things like region free on all of them if you search for ihaveamac's home menu patches on that iso site.

So really, it's like choosing one blend of coffee. They all have caffeine which is what you want but some have some cinnamon, others chocolate on top. There's no supreme deluxe version of it

Depends on what you are trying to get out of your CFW. Just play 3DS titles then it doesn't matter.

If you are trying to use updatedsysnand either AuReiNand or Cakes.

If you are the user that wants to play with everything including the kitchen sink try RXTools

In short they all do great things, so research what sets each apart and decide am I going to need/use this feature and if the answer is yes then use the one that has the feature set you desire. No wrong answer.

I get where you're coming from, but give the guy a break. He tried at least to give a informational answer. I mean look at his post. It's a big post compared to many out there, so you can tell he wasn't purposely trying to bs his way through it, but to give an answer with some substance if not necessarly the correct answer. I think we should leave the guy alone. He's been told he's wrong and I doubt he'll make the same mistake.

I didn't mean to offend him and I like people that try to help others/this community in some way, but when you give information to others(and especially such 'sensitive' information considering everyone wants to know which CFW is the 'best'), you must have first validated them in some way. I don't go out there helping each member when they have a question if I'm not sure/haven't validated the info I got. I check the GitHub, I check tre respective threads and gather information. Today was my first time in ReiNand's thread but you hadn't seen me saying such stuff when my info on ReiNand is 0%....

You don't go out there and keep posting. This is a community. If you don't know something, just ask. There's this noob paradise thread and/or ask in the respective threads/forums. People are always willing to help.

tl;dr we should be more involved as we like what we do with our 3DS(hacking the sht out of it )

don't worry, i have that type of 'attitude' as well but mostly only with people who i know of, like people i often talk to etc.

to strangers i cannot really be in that 'attitude' cause i try to respect ..the.. strangers OvO cause.. i dont know the strangers.
so i would only use that 'attitude' of mine when the stranger in some way offends me.

then i would use my very very salty 'attitude' ! XD
