Homebrew So, I downgraded to 9.2 . What now?

(Bad english warning) I'll try to make this as short as possible: I'm a noob at all this homebrewing stuff, but I found out that my O3DS XL could be downgraded to 10.4 to 9.2. I was very happy, since I've been wanting to use CFW's for quite a while now. After a lot of trying and reading, I managed to downgrade it sucessfully. The thing is, after that, I tried to install some CIA's on my console, there is a Netflix program that I wanted to try out. I did so much stuff that I don't even remember what I did. I know I "installed" (don't know the correct term) an emuNAND and Rxtools too, but I couldn't install CIA's no matter what. Now, I want to undo everything I did and start it all over again, starting with a "pure" 9.2 console and a clean SD card (my console still works normally, btw). What exactly is the best thing to do?

1-)How do I undo all the sh*t I may have done?
2-)Which CFW's, Homebrews, EmuNANDS or whatever are the best to install? What do they do?
3-)How to install them?
4-)I have a few Legit CIA game files somewhere in my computer. Would I be able to install them? Play online? Use Eshop? Update software?

Sorry if this got too big, I looked all around for answers like this, and I'm not stupid, but this thing is just way too hard for newcomers like me, and I wanted this thread to help other people like me as well. Please help. Just link me to the right places if answering is too hard or tedious. Thank you.

Don't update your sysNAND. You want to keep it on 9.2.

That's not what the OP said. He wants to mess with hacks but wants to start over. It's incompetent to advise one to update past 9.2 if he's just going to need to downgrade again, which has the potential to brick the 3DS.

Here is a great video tutorial to follow to install emuNAND with rxtools (Recommended for old 3ds) while keeping your sysNAND at 9.2

He uses a 2DS but it works for old3DS(XL) too.

Thanks, everyone, you guys rock (in all kinds of Brazillian forums everybody is an as*hole, I'm not used to people actually answering my stuff XD). I'm still a bit confused, though. Is it better to use rxTools or ReiNAND? ( if they are the same kind of software at all). Again, I have an Old 3DS XL. And, just to be sure, everything I do while on emuNAND will not mess with the sysNAND, correct? I'm just scared of trying to update the emuNAND and losing all the homebrews and stuff.

Most people never touch their sysNAND. Do everything on emuNAND. If you update emuNAND, make sure you do so from the System Settings.

Yeah, I get that. The thing is I've seen somewhere that the emuNAND and sysNAND can be "linked" or not, and that's what bugging me. I have no idea what that means, but I assumed it was something like "You do stuff on your emuNAND and it messes with your sysNAND", but I'm really at dark here.

If your sysNAND and emuNAND are linked, then that means they store some data in the same folder on your SD card. It is recommended you unlink them if you haven't already done so since creating your new emuNAND. To do this, format your system while in sysNAND (do so with the SD card removed from your 3DS).

If NANDs are linked and you update emuNAND then you will also update sysNAND. emuNAND is where you do EVERYTHING (at least before a9lh, but you shouldn't worry about that yet) Basically emuNAND is an emulated 3DS system that can be used separately from the system's firmware (aka sysNAND)

Also, the CFW you use is all preference. I use rxTools on my Old3DS just because I prefer it. I use reiNAND on my new3DS because it was the best for the new3DS when I installed it and gained a preference for it. All CFW, for the most part, let you do the same things as any of the others. All you really need is emuNAND, a CFW, and an entrypoint to it which, in the video, uses MenuHAX.

If you follow that video everything will be fine. Once you get it set up, play with it, explore the 3DS CFW community, and are ready to jump into something else you can. Just be sure to back up your sysNAND just in case (also in the video)

From the beggining, I just couldn't make menuhax work, I've been using browserhax to launch homebrew, but I believe that to make the console boot into emuNAND directly, you need to use menuhax, or something like that. Usually it errors out after I hit install and then I just hit install again and it works. You can also set Menuhax to only boot to the regular system if you're NOT pressing a certain button (reverse from the default) and that's what I used. Now, you must know that Menuhax doesn't always have a 100% success rate when booting so if it ever gets stuck just hold the power button until it shuts down and try again.

Then, just to be safe, boot back up and change the theme to one of the colors. Then launch the homebrew menu and try installing it again (if it errors the first time just press B to return then hit install again)

One last thing. Once you get familiar with the CFW and having a modded 3ds, look into arm9loaderhax. There are a lot of cool benefits but installing it can be risky And I only recommend it once you have a little experience.
