Hacking How to update a 3DS from 4.0E to 9.0E?

I have launch 3DS on 4.5.0-7E. I want to update its sysNand to 9.0 or 9.2. I have a Gateway card. What is the easiest way to do it? Can I use GW for this?

You can update with a cart. Go here and look for a cart game that will update you to 9.0e-9.2e

Firmware is now 4.5 after using Luigi's Mansion to update. Now I need to get to 9.0 or 9.2. I have a DS Flashcard and a Gateway.

You can use rxtools 3.0 devMode to update.

First grab the o3ds 9.2.0-20E files from iso site and put them in a folder called updates on the root of the 3ds SD card. Boot gw in sysnand mode and install sysupdater. Reboot and access rx menu from the Web launcher. Go into devMode then run sysupdater

I only use gw to get sysupdster cia on sysnand
