Hey lovely people!

I'm not able to transfer titles from PS3 to Vita... I was before however.
I'm using Open CMA and pulling the USB after connected to PC, then hooking up to PS3.

I can navigate as usual and set up the copy but every time it flags back with an error, even on games I know I've transferred before.

The two I'm trying to move right now however, are Murumasa Rebirth, and Hyerdimension Neptunia V1.

My worry is Sony disabled this feature behind the scenes... anyone having issues?

Or I might be pulling the cable out of the PC too soon, do I have to get into the copy part of the UI while connected to OCMA?

Thanks in advance all!

you have to reformat your psp vita back to factor defaults and wipe the memory card and start over. not sure why that happens but after a certain period of time after setup of the vita, qcma or open cma will just stop working. the only real solution is to use FTP for the vita, if you can't find it, its usually bunched with the ark installers, so after you install ark, you should have ftp on your vita also.

Back up your files, reformat, then try to transfer your files, and next time just use FTP or you may just need to repeat the reformat process before transferring new files.

Test this out and let me know what happens, I read this in a few places. QCMA and Open CMA also don't work for me they just stopped working, I just use FTP.

Thank you for the suggestion yeshuachrist.
The issue isn't Open CMA, though I don't think.
As I can connect to it just fine. The issue is when trying to transfer downloaded Vita games from my PS3 to the Vita.
Even after following the steps (it's worked in the past, no issues) it errors out.

Could someone attempt to transfer something, and see if it was removed with the latest Jan. update?

When was the last time you got it to work? Do you remember the exact date?

Also, my 4.78 PS3 is transferring stuff to my Vita fine.

Eh... Jan-ish. Had to be.
Can you successfully perform a transfer from PS3 Voxel?

Edit:
Nevermind. Just saw you were able to.
Thought that last quip was your signature. >_<

To add on, would you recommend wiping the unit and attempting it clean?
Or any other thoughts?

Thanks awalsh053.
You need to run the Vita Update blocker even if all network functions are off for transferring?

So vita blocker only works with a ps3 now? Thought once it stopped working for the vita for psn access that it couldn't be used for anything anymore. Good to know.

Not to bother anyone out of their day.
But would someone mind throwing up a quick short-hand of their successful process, so I can copy it and post results?
Perhaps I'm forgetting a small step somewhere.

- I use QCMA, not Open CMA.
- I have a 4.78 PS3 and a 3.30 Vita.
- and I use the same USB swap trick as you described in the OP.

QCMA is the difference with our process it seems.
However, I can't get it to run on Windows 10. Has to be a driver issue, or something similar.

The install is no problem. Just won't detect the Vita when I plug it in. I've had no issues with Open CMA however.
Perhaps don't run both QCMA and OpenCMA/official CMA at the same time. That's a common user error. You might want to try closing the official CMA/OpenCMA first and leave QCMA running by itself.

Alright.
I did a bit of leg work, and was succesful in installing QCMA.
I connected the system, then selected PC. Once the "Applications/SaveData/etc." screen came up, I disconnected from the PC and plugged into the PS3.
I attempted transfer only to get that error once more. Do I need to run "Vita Update Blocker" before I transfer from PS3? As it's network has to be on. Can't get around it because it checks if it's logged into PSN and I own the licenses for the titles.

Vita Update blocker only bypasses updates. It doesn't affect the transfer of files whatsoever if you're using the USB method.

I assumed that as well.
I noticed my PS3 keeps signing me out of PSN randomly.
Any idea why that would be? May be part of the issue.

I had this problem last night. I did what was suggested: format memory card and restore in recovery. Now I can copy content from PS3 to PSV succesfully. Have you actually tried formatting?
