Homebrew Finally have Arm9Loaderhax! What are the do's and don'ts?

Any tip is appreciated greatly.

I also want to know, what if my SD stops working? how do I start my 3ds again? Are there any files that I should have backed up always?. How do I change to another SD?. I heard there's a recovery mode, how do I access it?.

if your sd-card stops working, get a new one and make sure you have every payload on your 3ds that is needed for booting the cfw. like the aurei folder, and arm9loaderhax.bin

Backup your NANDs (and your pre-a9lh nand incase you want to uninstall it for whatever reason).

If your sd stops working, you can just copy the cfw files into your new sd and it will work again (with your games removed, and your emunand if you use one)

To change SD, just copy the files to the new sd. If you use emunand, back it up and restore it using emunand tool or emunand9 (there's an a9lh version of it, for your convenience)

Regularly backup your nands, incase something goes wrong.

If you plan on using sysnand as your main nand and ditch emunand, do not transfer the whole nand backup from emunand to sysnand. Just the needed partition (CTR partition, if I'm not mistaken). Although having an emunand is a good option, too.

1. If your sd card stops working, just use a new one. Keep a recent backup of your sd card at all times just so if it does screw up badly, you can fall back on something.
2. As long as you have a9lh, all you need in your sd card is some cfw (Aureinand is the one I recommend) and it'll boot.
3. Your OTP for sure, as well as your sd card.
4. If you're using sysnand as your main, just copy and paste the contents of your old sd card to your new sd card and you're good for the most part. I've never done it, so there may be more steps. If you're using emunand, you'll have to backup your old emunand, remake the partition for emunand on the new sd card, and then inject your backup to the new sd card.
5. Use Decrypt9 as your recovery. As long as you have a backup of sysnand/emunand, you can restore a backup, even if sysnand bricks.

i just copy/pasted when i was moving FROM a 8 gb microsd TO a 2 gb SD. no problems at all, just that i had to delete some titles to make it fit on the 2 gb card

Oh really? So using sysnand as your main makes it that easy huh? Out of curiosity, why did you go from 8-2?

because i had to use the 8 gb from my camera, and a broken(yes broken, but i snapped it in place) micro sd to sd card reader. i don't have any other sd card for my 3ds. also this was my "franken-3ds" which i rarely use. it has a brokem r button and a broken touchscreen connector, which i just taped in place. i also have another o3ds which i use far more. i just installed some games to the franken3ds in case someone wants to borrow it and play with me/my brothers etc.

Thanks for the heads up guys! can you help me on this? I was trying to install the patched twl firm to my updated sysnand with bbm, and well it didn't work, I got error ocurred on my r4, then I checked and had another error on an actually ds game (super mario 64 ds). So I tried uninstalling the cia by fbi, and well, once I tried again by installing it through fbi this time to no avail (same error) my 3ds seemed to have bricked. I'm restoring my sysnand arm9loaderhax back right now since I made is just before this.

Is there no way to patch twl firm on arm9loaderhax?. I also tried apache thunders twl 1 slot app and well it didn't work (mostly because it seems the twl won't install.)

R4 3ds but it wont boot normal ds games either. Normal ds games worked on both emunand and sysnand before arm9loaderhax. I am running sysnand with aureinand right now as i deleted my emunand
