Hacking If I am spoofed for 5.5.1, shouldn't I be safe to do a game update from a disc?

Title, could I safely temporarily turn off TubeHax to get the update for Smash via disc? Or are there risks involved?

I had this same question. I found that once I was 5.3.2 spoofed to 5.5.1, I could still go online with smash. I needed to download the latest smash update via NEW NUS Grabber

Use WUP Installer to install that update.

@Net-KILLER He is asking about disc updates.

OP: Disc updates will still happen even with Tubehax.

Hmm. I had a couple issues with WUPinstaller. What fixed it was going to wj44.ml on the Wii U Internet Browser. Then shutting down normally so that website comes up by default when you open internet browser.
I am guessing it has to do with caching...

Also the Definitive Package didn't get the job done for me

Well,
1) I cannot use any website to use webtools. Don't ask, my system just always freezes during loading.
2) I get error 0x00000000 on WUPi, which I assumed was normal (since it did the same for spoof which worked). Waited 2 hours, restarted to find that nothing changed. Game still checks for updates, fails cuz of TubeHax. I go to data management to find absolutely nothing new, not even a corrupt data slot.

The freezing during loading happened to me a lot too, self hosting the files fixed it though. Can you post a screenshot of the root of your wii u sd card? And a screenshot of the install folder?

For 1) Block update servers on your router. It's the same the TubeHax is doing via DNS filtering.
That freezing is what happened to me when I used TubeHax DNS. It couldn't resolve the host and froze.
For 2) Reinstall the Kernel Exploit

Google your router model for service filtering

Make sure that you are only putting 1 game's game update files in the /install folder

You mean reload.

Just use the local hosted exploit in a different network without online acces so you don't need tubehax. With an android phone for example.
Be sure that the phone isn't online -> flight mode

I suppose. Well maybe not. If you mean just in a general sense then no. I typically think of "install" vs portable or standalone to mean no system or registry changes.
So under that definition ksploit is surely installable and therefore reinstallable. Maybe not uninstallable, but no one asked that... lol ;p

Even moreso if you have the Mii Maker method like some really fat guy who likes patties.
