Hi, I just downgraded to 9.2 and was wondering what advantages would I get from installing a CFW on my 3DS XL (old) and which CFW you believe is to be the best CFW to install. I was also wondering if there was a way to access the eshop channel without CFW (I heard that you NEED a CFW to access eshop).
Thank you for your help!
(sorry if my english is bad)

I really liked Rxtools when I was on 9.2 although Aureinand isn't a bad choice either. No, unfortunately you cannot get to the eshop on 9.2, so you will have to have emunand.

Oh an advantages you'd get are:
1. being able to install unsigned cias
2. being able to be on the latest firmware
3. having a safety blanket over sysnand so you don't brick sysnand
etc.

Another option you can go is to downgrade once more to get a9lh.

Assuming you are relatively new to the 3DS hombebrew/CFW scene, I'd recommend reading through a few guides on installing Rxtools to backup your SysNand and creating an EmuNand on your SD, I wouldn't really mess about with Arm9haxloader until you get to grips with the easier stuff first :)

No Ninjhax is not a requirement anymore. Just use Yellows8's Homebrew Launcher:

Mmn true. I agree. Learn about the ins and outs of cfw, and emunand. Learn what you can and can't do and especially what you should and shouldn't do. You don't need to rush. A9lh isn't going anywhere.

Where am I supposed to place the slot0x25keyx.bin file? I saw a tut on how to install rxtools and it mentioned slot0x25 but then forgot about it? The root of the SD Card?

So I lied. Ninjhax will actually be used. Get Ninjhax running on 9.2 and get to the homebrew menu. Then launch Rxtools using the .3dsx from there. That's the faster way to do it.
Is it a requirement though? I don't have cubicninja :/ (nor do I want to spend the money)

Oh I thought you had it lol. No it's not a requirement although it does save you a bunch of time. Here's what you can do instead:
1. Make sure you have boot.3dsx in the root of your sd card
2. Go to your browser and clear the cache out
3. Then reenter your browser and go here: http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php
4. You should see a small slider bar thing. Click it a few times until you hopefully see a yellow screen come up
5. Congrats you're in the homebrew menu/retry if it errors out

Should I upate my emuNAND to 10.7.0-32 U, can this version be downgraded from at the moment?

Is emunand the system or is it the sd card?
