Hello there! My name is Jinnial and I am the team leader of Hatsune Miku Mirai Hackers (aka Mirai Hacks). What we do is simple. We try and bring the love of the project diva series of games to the mirai series of games (mainly DX) by creating various patches that enhance your experience! We have patches in the works that range from replacing the music with that of English utaite singers, to changing up which vocaloid sing which song, and even several projects in the works that bring custom songs into the game regardless if they have ever been in a game before! So, one day after getting the game on the eshop I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if we had a version of the game with english lyrics than just the Japanese?" Before you Project Diva fans start yelling at me, it not that I don't enjoy the japanese versions of the songs. I just would like a version made with english versions by people who love the vocaloid community. And thus began this project.

Releases and Update Notes
Major update! YAY! Well, after quite a while of work the patch is mostly complete. Some songs are still missing as seen above, but me and some utaite friends are currently working on solving that problem. Also, in this update I have removed the custom preview images for the songs and the animate PVs. If anyone would like to see these added back in just send me a pm or an email at [email protected] and I'll work on adding them back in. Please note that since this is the first "completed" patch you will need to remove all previous patch files from your SD card. This is to accommodate future patches coming from our team. At the bottom of this spoiler tag is the download link. Please note that our site is currently under renovation and will not be finish for a while. Also, be looking forward to more patches and in the mean time check out @Stewie1.0 and his Mix Edition patch where he changed out some of the singers. In this minor update:
  • The following songs have been added: Deep Sea Girl, Reverse Rainbow (Main Version), Hello/How are you?, and 1925 (Miku Version)
In this update:
  • The following songs have been added: Snowman (Both the Zoozbuh and Cammie versions),
  • On the Rocks, Matryoshka, Daughter of Evil, No Logic, DoReMiFa Rondo, Reverse Rainbow, and Shake it!
  • AgeAge Again now uses a Japanese version of the song with Rin as the singer. She is also the model used for the PV.
  • All of the animated PVs from Mirai 2 have now been imported into the game to replace the live action PVs of the following songs: Kimi no Taion, Melancholic, Common World Domination, Matryoshka, Piano Girl, Doremifa Rondo (texture hacked by @Stewie1.0 for us), Hello Planet, Invisible, Deep Sea Girl, LOL, Amatsu Kitsune, and Happy Synthesizer.

NOTE: The patch is 558.9 MB in size and WILL require having NTR CFW loaded. Please do NOT delete some of the larger files as this will result in a possibly broken patch. There is nothing we can do to shrink the file size down without loosing the quality of the songs. Also, if this patch does not load for you, please refer to the conclusion for troubleshooting instructions.
In this update:
  • The following songs have been added: 1/6 -Out of Gravity-, Kokoro, Senbonzakura, YumeYume, Romeo and Cinderella, Invisible, Adolescence, Cendrillon, and Happy Synthesizer.
  • AgeAge Again has been replaced with a slightly different version of the original song.
Install Instructions
  1. Unpack the contents of the zip file onto the root of your SD card.
  2. Turn on your 3DS/2DS and boot into your EmuNAND.
  3. If you already have NTR CFW, skip down to step five.
  4. Install NTR version 3.3 or whatever version you need for your current EmuNAND firmware. Once installed, move onto step five.
  5. Boot up NTR while in EmuNAND.
  6. Load Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX and enjoy your patched game!
Known Bugs
  • Any imported song will stay on repeat in the "My Jams" feature of the game unless you manually change songs. This is not affected whatsoever by the built in repeat and shuffle option.
  • When changing the sx options for some songs it will not change the sound when the song is being played. To fix, make the change BEFORE you load the patch.
Conclusion

If you have any song suggestions, feel free to let me know. If you encounter a problem with the patch not being applied, it might be because your have a different version of the game. There are two different versions of the game with two slightly different Title IDs. Before you come and start complaining that the patch did not load, please restart your 3DS and load the patch one more time as sometimes the patch will just randomly not apply itself. NOTE: This is compatible with the english patch, however, you can only run one at once. Just change out the plg files in the plugin folder as needed. Enjoy!

Footnotes
* Will only include the original version of the song. This is the Rin version. I would include the other versions but they do not match up with the game's beatmap timing.
** The singer is Japanese and I no way of communicating with her. Based on how others have used her works, I will assume she is okay with it.

This is something Stewie1.0 decided to work on that has character changes + songs for the changed characters. Ever thought there should of been better versions of certain songs in the game? Well now its about to come true! If anyone would like to help out, or give ideas, PM Stewie1.0

Known Bugs
  • Matryoshka's animated PV resets when u skip parts of it when you are viewing it (I tried a bunch of attempts to fix it, but nothing)
  • Songs that have a Super Hard (except Doremifa Rondo, since that's custom made) that were switched to animated PVs don't work correctly, because there was no Super Hard in Mirai 2 (they'll be custom made ones in the future)
  • When played on the EU version of the game, 1 2 Fanclub crashes for unknown reasons.
  • Sweet Magic's music is a bit off with the notes. Will be fixed in the future.
  • When changing the sx options for some songs it will not change the sound when the song is being played. To fix, make the change BEFORE you load the patch.

Some songs will have optional choices for you to choose which version you want, but you will have to move certain files around yourself. The patch will have instructions on what to do.

Conclusion

If you have any song suggestions, feel free to let me know. Once I get at least one artist's permission I will release a pack with ONLY the modified files. IT WILL NOT INCLUDE THE FULL ROMFS FILES. You will have to dump the game yourself and recompile it. I advise using using Decrypt9 to dump your files, 3DSLazy to decompile them, and HANS to play your modded romfs. Have a great day!

I stopped playing the game recently, but this might get me to re-play it even i f i already ended it!

Thanks! I just hope I can find enough "good quality" covers of these songs and get the artist's permission. Do you have any suggestions for artists to contact or songs you want done first? I might even do the cover myself depending on the song.

Yeah. I can't find a existing cover of the song. Would you be fine with an male dub of it? I might be able to make. It is just barely within my range if I sing it an octave lower than the original.

I'm actually working on something similar atm(just with NicoNico singers instead of youtubers), so if you wouldn't mind kinda working together should either of us need help at some point i'm down. not so much working together, but more of a "hey how did you do X" kinda thing if we get stuck at some point. it doesn't look like you'll need any help so far, but i figured i'd extend a hand anyway. best of luck getting permission to use these covers. i know that sometimes can be the hardest part XD

it's only been a few weeks since his first post though. getting a reply from the people who did the covers alone can take longer than that depending on their schedules. i wasn't trying to be rude to you in any way if that's the feeling you got, but you can't expect a whole lot of progress overnight with something of this nature. especially since getting everything synced up can take a few hours/song depending on how everything goes. in my case i just don't have a lot of time to work on my project because of my work schedule. on the other hand you never know the circumstances unless you ask, but maybe do it in a way that isn't "is this dead?" because that comes off as a bit rude as well. especially to the person putting the work into it.

Sorry about the late response everyone. Finals are coming up in two and a half weeks so the project is on hold until then. Right now I only have the permission of two artists. Until finals are over, I'll just be contacting artists. After that, I will begin inserting songs into the game.

UPDATE: Zoozbuh has given me permission to use any of his music for whatever I need. He has said if we need additional resource to just let him know. Hopefully there will be an alpha release of this in about three weeks after I get my new computer and finals are over. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. See you guys soon!
