Hacking It seems I have screwed up somwhere in the RXtools process.

First I formatted the SD using the Gateway app, after that I backed up EmuNand.

Following that I did the FBI thing where I created a hs.app in my SD and unmounted it.

Used the go.bat tool in my PC to change it to a namefilewithbanner.app, moved it into my SD changing the name back to hs.app and injected it sucsessfully.

Then I copied the Old3DS files into my SD and ran the browser exploit in which you tap the bar at the top (previously having deleted history and cookies as well as having switched off wirless for the QR code) and got into the RXtools menu, I pressed L which was the button I assigned in the FBI thingie with the button press + screen tap.

when I pressed L the screen had a message telling me it was installing extra files and it would take less than a minute, when it was over it said it was sucessful and to press any button, pressed a button but instead of going into EmuNand which I assume it is what is suppossed to do it got stuck on a black screen on top and a red screen bottom.

Left it there for about 20 minutes, nothing, turned it off and tried again, when I press L at boot it freezes again, if I dont I can still go to hombrew.

If I remove the SD card I can enter to SysNand no problem and can play with carts.

Maybe I used old files in the "old3ds step"?

It automatically goes to the RXtools menu on boot as per the instructions, if I do not press L it loops the same menu over and over, I can go into the hombrew launcher but when I try to quit from hombrew into the the home menu it froze.

Any idea what I can do to fix this issue?

Maybe just try changing the files first, and if that doesn't work, start over?

Interesting, following that video I was actually able to get into EmuNand, I checked in the settings menu and indeed it read as RX3D and so on, then the guide followed with updating to the latest firmware which I did, and it turned off automatically.

When it turned on we get back on Sysnand and the guide says that whta we just updated was EmuNand and we shoudls till be in the lower FW for SysNand, in the video he was but in my case I am back to 10.6 on SysNand, which means I have to start all over from the downgrade process :/



EDIT: downgraded again, gonna follow the instructions from the video above up till getting onto EmuNand but I will not update trough the system menu. Gonna look around other methods this time.

EDIT2: I was unaware that after exiting the systems menu on Emunand you get back to SysNand and I probably got out last time and got back in to update the Emunand not knowing that I was already on SysNand, so this time I made sure I was already on EmuNand before updating to latest FW and it went without a hitch, mission succsesful guys.
