Hello,

First, I'm a noob on hacking : I had hack my Wii a long time ago and succefully downgraded a O3DS by following a tuto.

But I heard for N3DS it's not very stable and a lot of soft brick. So My N3DS is today on 10.3.0-31E (by using this tutorial https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/476wy5/tutorialeshop_and_online_gameplay_on_outdated/ for staying in 10.3 but have access of online fonctionnality).

I see today that 10.4 to 10.6 version can downgrade... Does that mean there no stable version of the downgrade for N3DS 10.3 will be released ?

Thanks for the answers !

it seems like most probably all hard bricks were caused by user error usually using o3ds downgrade pack on a n3ds not realizing there were two different ones.
you can attempt a downgrade now and it will probably work but if you end up with a frankenfirm or a brick you can just use recovery mode to upgrade to 10.6 and try again.
do it now though once 10.7 comes out this wont be an option anymore, the safety net will be gone.

The problem is I don't have OOT 3D or Cubic Ninja so if the downgrade is not going well... I can't do anything.
Any question, should I delete all legit CIA, GBA game from ambassador program, DSiWare, badges and folder on my menu before downgrade ?

oh right i forgot not everybody had those, deleting everything is not necessary, however having a clean sd card certainly helps you could just back up your sd card to your pc and delete everything of it before you start.
a lot of people recommend to format first but that's just a precaution and i don't know if it has any basis i've downgraded plenty of 3ds's just as they were.

No! Never use safesysupdater (maybe only for verifying the downgrade files' integrity)! It crashes a lot more than julian20's latest build of sysupdater.

Worked first try for me on n3ds.
That's good, but it re-verifies the files again before installing them one by one and if something fails there, it errors out. Also, julian20's sysupdater installs the titles in a much safer order, so you can be sure you'll be able to access either Recovery Mode or the Home Menu.

+1 I would only use safesysupdater to check the files. Safesysupdater is based on an earlier version of julian20's sysupdater so it is less stable.

Where's the last update for sysUpdater by julian20 ?

Also the 10.3-0-31E is a frankenfirmware so I can't do this with a formated card because I have a error when I try to launch BrowserHax, so first I downgrade to 10.3.0-28E and then i format the card and do it all the steps for downgrading to 9.2 !

If browser don't work, you will need another entry point other than browserhax.

I would suggest following the downgrade portion of this guide.

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/OTP-Info

Make sure you choose the right one according to your 3DS

Keep trying until it succeeds. Takes anywhere between 1 - a few hundred tries.

Thanks a lot for helping me, should I restart the console or I can just back in the homebrew launcher and retry ?
I would suggest restarting the console. Simply because we want to make sure the update succeeds, not sure how Homebrews clean up memory so it is better to be safe than sorry.
