Hardware Check this amazing SNES themed New 3DS XL out

In the japanese Nintendo Direct there was a Super Famicon themed New 3DS XL shown. It looks incredible. Sadly no info on a western release yet. I might be tempted to import it and disassemble my regular 3DS XL and put it together with the shell and parts of this beauty. Or attempt a region change.

Not for XL though, i think this is the only one that has these buttons.

I would get one and swap the motherboard with a U.S. console, but with my luck, the Donor 3DS (as I would not want to swap boards with my Majora's Mask N3DS XL (IPS Top Screen)) would have TN along with the NES LL having TN leaving me stuck with a NES LL with an inferior screen to my Majora's Mask XL.

that is pretty cool, but im starting to feel the "limited edition" milkage squeeze....well tbh its felt that way for a long time, and i guess its not really a bad thing its just damn there is so many, in the GBA/Gamecube/DS it was like the zelda one, the pokemon one, with the 3DS its like the 5 zelda consoles 7 pokemon consoles, anyone know exactly how many limited edition 3DS consoles we are up to, i imagine it will be annoying for people who try to collect all the console variations down the line XD........i wonder if this one will end up looking like this

idk maybe its just me but it feels like when you are asked to choose from 200 flavors and then can't make up your mind and end up buying 2......ofc some people wont have that problem but im one of those people who would XD

plus cart yellowing is annoying with pal/jpn carts as its more annoying trying to retrobrite a cart without ruining the labels.....but i think we are kinda off topic now XD

I bricked my black N3DS XL, so I hope this gets a US release, it'd be the perfect replacement.

i only wish that the n3dsXL's also had those bright ABYX colors :/ .. they only have the letters colored on the n3dsXL's .

so i wish my n3dsXL had those colorful buttons aaah would have been sweet.
but their still alright, the only complaint i had was 1.glossy back (which i fixed by applying DecalGirl matte skin sticker ,so no more greasiness for me no more dirt particles so no more cleaning needed!).

my 2nd. issue is the backscrews, i already broke one and it makes squeaky sounds when i press the sides abit which is sort of annoying.

one more thing i wanna mention is the placement of the power button , i wish it was placed like it was on the og3ds's , it feels almost squishy mushy when i press the power button on my n3dsxl< i think it is cause of the placement.

other than that im all good with my n3ds.
