F-Zero uses Mode 7. Super FX is for geometry and some math support. I'm curious though, has anyone actually tried injecting it to see if it actually does have Super FX support and we just don't know?
No, Fzero just uses mode 7 by rotating a background on a single plane so it doesn't need FX.

This guy explains it early in this video.

Donkey kong Country games don't use any special chips. If those games had a special chip inside, those would almost look like early ps1 games :)

Wait for starfox... and then bam. Megaman X... also, doesn't alttp use it for the intro triforce animation or was that pre rendered?

IIRC it had some funky programming to get the 3 3D triangles. But no, it didn't have any extra chips.

Afaik, DSP-1 is the only chip we have at the moment. Which is used for Pilotwings and Mario Kart.
