Thx The people who are helping me will be listed soon. MEGA Is an awesome file hoster so im using that, but the website is gonna have to be hosted by someone who can support our "Wierd" File selection.
Do you think it's a good idea to make a an archive by trusting a filesharing website? An archive should archive things, by relying on Mega the archive becomes useless after the shutdown of mega. Look what happend to Megaupload, i had a few files on that, but I can't access them anymore due to the shutdown of megaupload.

Wow, good job!
You're congratulating someone for musing about downloading stuff?

freakin lol this thread.

OP, if you're seriously trying to archive homebrew (a monstrous task) use a more long-term reliable hosting service like Filetrip. Even that's not a sure thing though, but it's better than Mega. And nobody cares if you download stuff to your HDD except you.

Tbh it's probably much easier if you just used google drive. Yes it's a third parting file hosting(/sharing) platform, but it's google, and as such they will warn you ahead of time if they will end the service (which in gdrive's case seems unlikely to happen any time soon (10 years)). Honestly having a drive locally has a higher chance of corruption or being stolen. Best would ofc. be to have a local archieve and a gdrive one (or mega one (or a three)).

Ps. You can share all of my homebrews in the archive. (ofc credits XD and a link to the github pages of the projects would be nice but not needed)

Idiot thread. Luglige always gives lols.

If you're not going to give constructive criticism, why bother posting anything? At least he's doing something to try and contribute to the scene, whether it's a good idea or not, whatever his motives are. That's not to say you're not doing something, mind you (whoever you are), so don't read into that. People start somewhere. Maybe he lacks coding skills or whatever, but really, there shouldn't be need for an explanation.

More on topic here, if for some reason someone needed a file and a link was down somewhere (or worst case scenario, the temp gets blown to smithereens by (opposing?) hackers or literal nukes) I can see this being handy. Best advice I can give is to take things in small, small sections so as to not get overwhelmed since this is a large task. It's good that you've got other people working alongside as well since it'll make things much faster and easier.
