yo

i know that this is a 10.3 thread, but is there a possibility of this NASA being updated to 10.5? if not is there a way for me to downgrade to 10.3? i have all the right things installed but whenever i launch NASA I just get a black screen, I'd figure thats because of my 3DS being on 10.5 thanks <3
If you get a hard mod you can downgrade by dumping the nand, pitching it, and reflashing it

Hi! I´m using the new feature to install and delete all the CIA´s on a folder. But the order which the Cias are being installed seems a bit random. For example, on a 16GB card, i put 8 cia that fill 14,2gb of the card. One of the Cias, Monster Hunter 4, need 2.5Gb free to install. If i manually install, choosing MH4 first, everything will be fine, because it´s the largest CIA, and after i delete it there will be plenty room for the others. But when installing the entire folder, sometimes NASA will pick another cia to install and then MH4 won't fit on the card. As a sugestion, maybe you can ADD a line to start by the largest cia on the next update.

So I just installed NASA 1.3. I liked pressing a single button (Y) to install + delete. I sort of get turning it into a clearly printed option, but in a way that makes it take the same extra button press you would use in DevMenu, if you're just installing one title. Still, point to NASA for exiting when you press Start. I am just splitting hairs here.

More importantly though, I discovered that if you attempt to install JK's SaveManager with the delete after install option enabled, NASA 1.3 will error out and require holding the power button. I confirmed it a second time, so please look into it.

OK, so NASA isn't compatible with any 3ds firmware above 10.3. I get that, and I can live with it. So is there any reason why it's not working on my brothers old3DSXL (firmware 9.9.0-18U)? I've literally tried EVERYTHING! I've tried loading it through oot3dhax AND menuhax, and even using gridlauncher (in menuhax, at least). Heck, I even tried doing the "ftbrony" bonus steps. But no matter how many times I tried, in as many different ways I can try it, the result has ALWAYS been the same: either stuck on a glitched screen, or frozen on an blank black screen.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I using the wrong version of NASA (1.2) or ftbrony (2.1)? Should I try using different versions of each? What do you recommend?

I've even tried using the updated version of FBI, but just gets me stuck on a glitched screen on top and a yellow screen on bottom...

Am I just that super unlucky?

I should also mention that his 3D slider is broken, to the point that it always displays a 3D screen even when the slider is turned all the way down on "off" (my 3DS ALSO has that same problem, so I had to use Parental Controls to turn it off...). Could that have something to do with the problem I'm having?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out!

IT's just useless to report an error without saying the error you get. It's just unpatchable.

I have gotten that same error with nasa 1.3. If u do the delete after install it crashes after the install and you have to hold the power button to shut it off and turn it back on. Normal install of the same cias works just fine

Quick question:
Yesterday I set up a new emuNAND (9.2) and used NASA from HBL to install Dev Menu onto it.
Everything went fine and I rebooted my emuNAND but got a blackscreen at first, which could be CakesFW related because that happened before as well.
But what made me wonder was that Dev Menu was already unwraped after the next restart. Is that normal or expected?

Oh and btw, is there a way to get to the HBL once you start NASA? I tried to press start, but all I got was a red screen on the bottom I think? And garbage on the top one...or was it the other way around? Dunno anymore, but it wasn't HBL thats for sure.

Anyway huge thanks for that tool! Beeing able to install CIAs on emuNAND from HBL, that's something others dont have and I hate the H&S injection method, so NASA was my best bet :)

I'm also having the issue with NASA 1.3 CIA version.
Installation went fine, the file is deleted but when you're supposed to have control again you have a system message saying that it encountered an error and you have to press and hold the power button.

Technically on fw 9.2 or lower and on CFW you should be able to return back to HBL/Home Menu.

Hmm that's strange, because I was in emuNAND -> Ninjhax -> HBL -> NASA.
And after I did my business there I pressed start and the whole thing crashed. Maybe it was a one time thing?

And what about the already unwrapped Dev Menu? Does it make sense to you?

So I FINALLY got NASA to work (still using version 1.2)... Which brings me to my NEXT problem: None of the CIA files I downloaded are showing for me to install.

Granted, I only tried this with the Virtual Console Pokemon USA/english re-releases (which you can find the specific files that I used by googling "[MEGA] Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow/Green (EUR/USA/JPN) eShop 2016 - Collective Thread")... Should I try downloading them from a different thread, or maybe even a different website?

Alright, so I managed to find the legit files and installed then. But now, whenever I try to open them from the home menu, it gets stuck on the looping "3DS" screen... Any ways to fix that?

assuming they're 9.6-encrypted titles, just view the game's page in the eShop and that should fix it.

Any way to do that without updating the system? I feel it would be in my best interest to keep it under 10.3
