Hi, so i am not allowed to check the console unless i buy it first, here are my two questions:

  1. Upon turning on the console, for first use, what screen would appear ? a user settings and personal info registration form ?? Is there anyway to know if a console is truely new and unused before ?
Firstly, you set your language, then test the 3D function, then set up your local profile, and (optionally) set up WiFi connection, and NNID. Then you press the HOME button. It's so statisfying to hear for the first time. :D
  2. Is there ANYWAY to find the date of the production of the console from the factory to compare it with the release date of 10.4 patch ?
You'll have to find a sticker on the box like this: (Pic took from my own box)
View attachment 40434 (Sry for potato laptop-camera quality)
Look at the three letters and first four numbers. Here's the list of FW versions: https://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-xl-firmware-by-version-number.381479/
Mine has YEM1009 on it, which means it came with 9.0.
Thank you.

I believe there are numbers that tell it on the box. I'll try to find it, though. I still have my New 3DS's box. :D I'll be back in a minute!

Yep (there are always 2 stickers on the console, one always under the battery, the other on the small N3DS is under the top cover)

Thanks for the info, i forgot to add one question, any chance you might know how to spot a fake charger ? Other than the seal thingy and the "licenced by Nintendo" statement.

The only blatantly fake charger I got was for a DS Lite, and it was so poorly done it didn't fit in the socket...

Anyway, original chargers are light grey; the cable is 3 meters long; the plug on European ones isn't foldable, but it is on American/Japanese ones; they're usually single voltage; have the circled Nintendo logo on the console side; and the newer (after 2DS launch?) ones use a thinner cable than earlier ones, so this isn't an issue...

Thank you again.
