Hacking Mew code rejected and paper jam stopped working after emunand update

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask for help with these two problems please.

1. I get this error code when trying to redeem a mew code in alpha sapphire: "your game cannot receive the gift this game provides"
The code is new, I also got another code to make sure the former was not used. But same issue. I started to get this error after updating my gateway emunand from 10.3 to 10.5 latest. I updated because at first, the game wouldn't let me connect to the Internet. How can I go around this? This game is installed as a cia if it matters.

2. I also noticed that paper jam cia worked perfectly fine on 10.3 emunand, but stopped working after updating to latest 10.5. I started to get the "an error has occurred. Turn off power..." Upon startup.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Have you done any region changing via any language emulation or anything like that? Those codes are region locked and that could be a problem if you changed the region.

Did you update your gateway launcher to the latest? 3.7.1?

Paper Jam works for me on 10.5 emuNAND - N3DS, using GW 3.7.1

only thing that sounds like either A: you did a region Change or B for whatever reason its thinking your Using the wrong region code. verry least could always get someone to dump thier wondercard w/ PKHeXand you inject it into your save. (saves having to go online on your 3DS for it.)

I am not sure about the region changing. I believe that I am on the newest gateway launcher. I got alpha sapphire a long time ago, so I don't know if it has been region modified. I do know, however, that I was able to participate in past mystery gift events just fine (I got the shiny beldum for example with no problem).

In terms of paper jam, I do believe the cia I downloaded was region free. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I downloaded a region free version of paper jam because I had a hard time finding the usa copy.

One way to know what region your Pokemon game thinks it is, is to catch a wild Pokemon then extract your save and open it in PKHeX and see the region details it shows. Every Pokemon saves the following three pieces of info when caught and is not changed later. (Country, Sub Region, and 3DS Region)

If that info is wrong you can region change the game back via ntr language emulation (note the language of your Pokemon game doesn't actually change since that is set at the start of a new game but it does affect those values and allows you to do other region events)

Also remember some events like the shiny Beldum happened for everyone worldwide at the same time so you don't know what region you got.

When I say usa, i mean the ones i downloaded all said firmware spoof or region free etc. I couldn't find a fresh usa copy).

I wanted to ask if you could walk me through how to use the ntr emulation thingy. I never used it before and would love to have the chanve to get my mew. I would really appreciate it. I'm asking because I have no idea what i am doing when it comes to stuff lung that.

Did you try checking what region the 3DS thinks it is? You could probably also just go to "System Settings" > "Other Settings" > Profile and it will show on the top screen.

You should still get it done to be safe but note that tomorrow is the last day to get codes but once you have one it can be redeemed up to May 31, it says so in the fine print on the back of the card.

I believe I installed everything properly, however, when I tried to boot up NTR CFW, I got some error where it said incompatible firmware version. I am running the latest 3ds emunand 10.6 if it matters.

No I never did. But if you are referring to when I simply go into the system settings, the firmware on the bottom left of my screen always said "U" next to my firmware version.

Your serial code is different region from your 3DS.

Use NTR language emulation to change region, so that you can receive the code.

Simply install the bootntr CIA onto your home menu, and launch it.

Also, create a folder for the plugin for your game.

Do note that if Yiu have any cheat plugins, won't be able to access online.
