Well I successfully home-brewed my 3ds but it continued asking me to update. So I guess I read the Instructions incorrectly. I updated it through the system settings application but it updated my Emunad to 10.5.0. I've already checked I know there's no going back unless you hardware the device annnnnnd I'm not about that life. The real problem is that I've lost my game memory and some DLCs I've bought.

Is there any possible way of getting any of that back or am i going to grind all my characters on Smash. again?

call nintendo and tell them you lost your console and need the nnid unlinked so you can link it to another 3ds . . . in a matter of days you can link your nnid again and redownload the dlc
I've lost my game memory
unless you have used homebrew apps to backup them up otherwise correct they are gone
I've already checked I know there's no going back unless you hardware the device
just want to point out there are (trusted experienced) people on this site that will do it for you . . . for a (small) fee
i would say get someone to do it for you then you will never need to worry about an accidental update again and still enjoy cfw

I wonder if it would be possible to retrieve stuff in emunand with a 3ds emulator on PC (you would probably need the firmware keys, though)

The same reason you cannot use a NAND backup from one 3DS on another. They are encrypted and signed to one specific console.
So you can't make the emulator match your nand signature is what im asking. Is that the case? I mean if someone else's 3ds were to somehow have the same exact encryption and signature, should it work or no?

If that was possible then it would have been made. It isnt as simple as your making it out to be.

Sounds like you just need to fix your cfw. I would suggest a fresh install of reinand or aureinand. Games and such that were installed won't show up if your emunand isn't patched by cfw. So that may explain why they are gone. So hopefully not gone just not showing.

There isn't much to know when you're doing a hardmod. The points you must solder to are very clear and there are only four at a minimum. Following a disassembly guide for your 3DS will help you not break anything.

lol, you better go look in the thread and see how many people messed up, cause they don't know how to solder, let alone disassemble the console properly.

My job was soldering for years and I even had some trouble with running the wires and dissambly/reassembly and had 2 try 4 different card readers. Sooooo you need to be very sure of your overall skills.

Why don't you start by telling us what you did to hack it in the first place. You said you had emunand if that is true and you never updated sysnand just emunand then a hardmod is not needed.

Sounds as if he has emunand and sysnand confused.
