Hello everyone.

I've got a N3DS with SysNAND on 9.2 and EmuNAND on 10.5 (10.6 tonight ^^).

First of all : the two NANDs are linked. I want to be able to get rid of my EmuNAND and update my SysNAND without loosing anything prior to the downgrade. Formating the EmuNAND isn't an option for me because I would loose my friendlist. The gift wrapping thing isn't an issue for me.

I'm using ReiNAND as CFW and tbh I've got some non-legit CIA games installed with my EmuNAND. When I boot on the SysNAND everything is fine, except I don't see those non-legit CIA (which is normal). When I boot on the EmuNAND, everything is fine too, except the gift wrapping.

However, I don't understand one thing :
I downloaded the Bravely Second demo on the eshop (with my EmuNAND then). But when I boot on my SysNAND I can't find it and I don't understand why as it is a legit content.

Would you please tell me why I can't find it on my SysNAND ?

Thank you very much for your help.

You downloaded it in emuand, which means it will only show up in emunand. now if you did it the other way with sysnand, then it would show up in both nands. also, don't update your sysnand, you'll lose the ability to use homebrew and cfw if you go to 10.4 or higher. I say 10.4 because of the 9.3-10.3 downgrading. to unlink your nands, just pop out the sd card, start the system and format. after formatting, put your sd card back in and go through the system set up. youll still have emunand since its on the sd card and wont lose any data besides what you have on sysnand.

Also, "legit cias" are the ones that has a console version with this cia preinstalled (like Animal Crossing, that has a bundle with the 3ds and the game preinstalled).
There are a list of known legit cia

Thank you for your answer.

I may be dumb, but I really don't understand why the legit content doesn't appear on the SysNAND as the two NANDs are linked. Basically it means that they share the same SD content so I don't understand. Does it means that legit content (games of even additional saving content) saved on the SD card with the EmuNAND won't be "seen" by the SysNAND ?

In fact I don't want to unlink my NANDs, because I hacked my 3DS to try some games I would not have purchase in the first place, but I have some retail games (and planned to still buy others, like Bravely Second which should be delivered tomorrow for me :)). I want to be able to be "full legit" again if I want to / need to.

If legit content built on EmuNAND can't be used on SysNAND then I think I will get rid of the EmuNAND and get back to "full legit" again

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
You should backup your SysNAND with EmuNAND9Tool or other and then unlink your NANDs. Then if you ever want to go back "full legit" just restore your backup and update if you want.

That's right, and I have a backup of my SysNAND. But if I unlink my NANDs, everything created on the EmuNAND (saves mainly, but also demos or DLCs) won't be on the SysNAND and I will loose those datas.

Actually my additional content (ie. for Smash bros) created on the SysNAND is working on the EmuNAND. It should still work on the SysNAND if I update it no ? So why the data created with the EmuNAND isn't working on the SysNAND ? (legit data I mean, for exemple demos). I just don't understand how it works has my emuNAND should be the exact copy of my SysNAND, they are still linked so they share the same ID on the SD card.

Sorry for my bad English BTW, and still thank you for your answers.

From what I read my SysNAND don't detect new content as the title.db is tied to the NAND and not the SD card.

It seems that with Decrypt9 from d0k3, it is possible to dump this title.db from the EmuNAND and re-inject it on the SysNAND.

Is it safe ? Has anyone tried this before ?

Thank you :)

As with anything touching NAND their is a risk, however I have done this Myself

My emuNAND is in fact legit on my main system, with jk save manager injected into health and safety app so I can backup my saves
