Hacking Using friend roster on 3DS 9.2 CFW?

I wanna know if there's a way I can register friends on PastaCFW on 9.2 O3DS. Whenever I try it tells me I need to update and we all know if you update you can't run CFW etc so I refuse to update. Is there any work around to this?

You should setup emuNAND and update that to 10.5. I recommend this guide.

I have an EmuNAND set up from following the RXTools CFW guide first when I tried to install CFW, however I don't know if I should update as I am not sure if they are linked or not and I do not know how to check for certain. I formatted sysNand at one point so I guess they are unlinked but I don't wanna do anything until I'm certain. x:

If you install a CIA on emuNAND and it isn't re-wrapped each time you load your 3DS, then your NANDs are unlinked.
