Is there any way to transfer the save file from the "Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright" .cia to the special edition .cia? I only know how to transfer a save file from a .3ds to a .cia using SaveDataFiler but is it possible to do it from .cia to .cia?

Sorry if this has been answered already.

Try SVDT (3dsx) or JK's save manager (CIA).

yes you can transfer from a cia to a cia, you just navigate to the save directory for Birthrate and overwrite SE with it

Wouldn't that delete my Birthright save?

Edit: Found an easier way in another forum.

"Its very simple to transfer your save! All you have to do is ENTER A BATTLE on Birthright or Conquest, then MID-BATTLE, save the game.
This will create a save in the ExtData on your sd.
Delete the game and install the special edition. Boot up the game, and you will be able to continue from the mid-battle save point!
After the battle just save again or keep playing normally!"

Thanks guys.

let me be simple

Run SVDT and select Birthright, It will backup you save as a Copy in the SVDT folder
Leave SVDT and run it again selecting Special Edition, it will backup a save to a differend SVDT folder

Navigate to the SVDT folder containing the birthright save and overwite Special Edition

Try launching the game.

you have backups of both saves aswell

Would any of these work with browserhax or menuhax? I'll be getting my New 3DS XL which is on 10.5.0-30 so I can't use CFW. I'm still new to the 3DS scene so any help is really appreciated

installing/running CIA games you need a CFW like rxtools, which atm cannot be handled by o/n3ds 10.4+

but you could try with hbl + hans and see if that works on 10.5, which i believe it should.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm using physical versions of the games and I won't be installing CIA versions. I just want to transfer my save file from a cart version of Conquest to my cart version of the Special edition which will arrive later

This will most likely corrupt your supports log tho. I had to load from an extra slot due to a dirty shutdown and saw my main file corrupted, Lucky enough I had a file in an extra slot to load from. But then all my supports in the log keep staying at the same lvl, without change. I can only get new supports normally but cant review them in the log later on anymore.

I guess thats caused because the status of the log is actually from an old not existing anymore save while the new ones get added to a newly initialized log... or something like that. I'm still trying to figure out how to get them fixed.

Anyone knows a way? It seems like the supports log isnt stored in one of the ext data, I already deleted them and nothing changed except losing the additional slots af midfight save data xD
