Hacking Will future CFW's fix the blurry 3D on N3DS XL?

I don't know if it's a common problem for N3DS, or just on the XL but whenever I load emunand the top screen is just a blurry mess instead of displaying the 3D.

The problem is easily fixable by closing the console into sleep and re-opening it, but it a bit inconvenient.

Maybe the ARM11 screen init thingy everybody is worried about will give another look at the whole 3D blurrynes situation and spawn a fix for those who want to keep the old menuhax / emuNAND way.
Is it even known whats causing this problem?

And by the looks of it, it will be probably one of very few ways out of the 3d problem.

Maybe so, but I'm not really wrong in saying it is fixed. For what it is worth very few people seemed to have bricked downgrading, and the process is only going to become easier as the guide is worked on.

If I can do it anyone can :P Although I accept what you are saying. Thing is most regular users on these boards now probably came into the scene after the downgrader was released. Most of us have experience in having downgraded once! What's one more time ;)

I'm just thinking what kind of hell will release on gbatemp if the regular user wants to dump the otp with the actual methods. I hope they'll see it too messy and go back to their emunands.

Just seeing what we went trough in the memchunkhax2 rollercoaster I don't know if I want it :D

Yeah memchunk2 was risk/gain train that you'd take...
The risk/gain and pain in obtaining your OTP for arm9 loader though is - less good.

arm9loaderhax doesn't "fix" 3D, it simply doesn't break it in the first place. This is because the hax occur before the screens are initialised (turned on).

Whereas the other hax performed to make the more common CFWs work break 3D because it's part of the exploit process itself from my understanding (gspwn/gpuhax).

If we could re-initialise the screen after the hax are performed then we could fix the screen without having to resort to oh-so-difficult-and-incredibly-inconvenient process of closing and opening our 3DSes.

Seriously though, don't expect it to be fixed. If it's such a burden use arm9loaderhax instead.

This is currently the case, however long term this certainly won't be the case. If screen initialization can be ironed out, there's a lot of cool stuff that could come from a9l.

Or getting someone not a total hacker without hardmod be able to install it. Biggest weakness for A9l is it's arduous install process and as I read; the absolute need for hardmod for one to even install it, at least on N3DS since N3DS cannot understand what to do about updating when it is on a version much lower than any N3DS ever shipped.
