Hardware [Theory] About IPS screens on New 3ds LL

Hello guys, i'm interested on buying an New 3ds LL(Japanese Model) but im curious about if the n3ds ll comes or not with a IPS screen, because i really want one of those screens on my 3ds... so, i have been investigating about the screen type, and on the japanese wikipedia it says that the new 3ds LL has an IPS screen... i have been investigating that the New 3ds XL (N.A) has a lucky thing about the screen type, chances of having an NT or IPS screen... my theory is that all the n3ds LL (jap model) comes with an IPS screen no matter what, and there is a 100% chance of having an ips screen, do you guys think that this is true? is there any new3ds LL owners that can tell me if that is true?

Interested to know as well, i think my Hyrule Edition N3DSXL has TN while my black N3DSXL has IPS screen, to be honest. It's not that big-a-dea; for me, since i will be playing it with the screen facing me not in an angle.

I'd also be curious of learning more or getting a source on this.
I'm in the market for an upgrade as I enjoy playing the 3ds in bed at odd angles.

Er.. who is selling n3ds ips screens exactly?
I'd imagine identified units are rare enough to add around 100 bucks on the ebay sales tag to make it not really worth gutting.

It would still be cheaper than buying a new3ds if you already have one and really care.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I just haven't seen anyone selling many IPS units on ebay let alone IPS replacement screens, so I'm trying to figure out if you know something I don't.

Don't worry, i was being stupid there is only one IPS unit on 9.2 on ebay and there aren't any listings for the screen it self like i thought i might've been.

Why should it matter? Who's going to drop 100$ extra on a 200$ unit just so they could better play at odd angles? I just don't understand why this is still a big issue. None of you would care if they all had tn screens but as soon as they aren't all the same, people freak out.

I can understand that but why rant about it here? It doesn't affect game play. Hell, you even have to go to a website to tell the difference. The reason people on eBay aren't saying what screen it has is because the people buying it don't care.

You only think it's so much better because you are forcing yourself to see a differance. I am willing to bet that if you give an IPS and TN 3ds to someone, they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I have each one of them side by side and on the TN unit I can see the other eye's image a bit.

I did read the topic and noticed it sounded like conjecture, which was why I was asking for a reliable source.
Though I didn't notice the one providing that claim (Dashblack) was also the OP of that thread.
Knowing that, I'm unfortunately inclined to doubt the validity of his statement as well.

Just for info, it seems we have not only 2 configuration screen but 3 different configuration screen (maybe 4). TN+TN, IPS+TN but also IPS+IPS.

Yes some rare consoles have also an IPS touchscreen with the combination of the IPS upper screen.

I confirm with my case. Today I just checked and compared my two N3DS XL.

Result is I have one AUS N3DS XL BLUE with upper screen is IPS and touchscreen TN, and my other EUR N3DS XL BLUE bought last month (9.5FW) have both IPS screen, very very nice.

So for the 4th screen configuration maybe some consoles have only the touchscreen is IPS.
