Suggestion Fix this scrolling problem

When I post a quick reply and try to scroll back to the top of the page, I can't because it forces me down to the bottom because my cursor flashy thing is in the text box ready for me to type a message and it's damn annoying having to click somewhere on the page to exit the text box.

Can I fix this with user settings?

I've tried to replicate this and I don't have any problems scrolling up.

I don't have this issue. Even when I start typing in the quick reply box without posting I can scroll up just fine. What browser are you using? Sounds like a browser issue to me.

Oh. He might be using Page Up/Page Down. That does cause it to snap back to the bottom, it's kind of annoying actually. But the mouse works fine so I use that.
@Pope Palpatine If that is what you're doing, you can just click outside of the text box to make it work again. Nothing the GBAtemp staff can do anything about, it's just standard browser behavior.

Yes. Start using the scroll wheel.

Either do what I said in the last post, or use the scroll wheel (or two finger scrolling if on a laptop)

I just find it easier to keep both hands on my keyboard when browsing and posting on a site. I only experience this on this site, don't know why but I guess I'll have to put up with it.

It's just that I said I find it annoying to have to click outside of the text thing before I can scroll. Pressing Escape is essentially the same thing.

I experimented with shortcuts a bit, and I came to this conclusion:

• Pressing ESC stops page loading, doesn't blur (un-focus) the textbox
• Pressing TAB most of the times focuses on a button, so you can scroll with arrow keys
• PgDown/PgUp always works

And no, I'm not a troll, I'm serious. Even if the above things are frickin' obvious.

Or you could just download a very simple application that if detects a special keycombo, it clicks on the very edge of the page to unfocus the textbox. Or it can even be solved with an extension, I think.
