I have a question, if I buy a new Wii U deluxe, is there a chance that the firmware would be past 5.3.2? Is there a way to check for that?

If you go into the Wii U Hacking and Homebrew section, you will see a definitive guide thread (stickied). That thread contains most of what you need to know about buying a new Wii U with a low firmware.

Its pretty hard to find a 5.3.2. I bought my MK8 a month ago and it was on 5.5.0

Nintendo has started shipping updated bundles! It appears to only be the bundles with the game(s) preinstalled. I highly recommend purchasing a bundle with the physical discs for a better chance of having a lower FW. I'm not responsible for your purchasing of a Wii U that does not have a released exploit.

Any bundles that include games released after August 2015 (Mario Maker, etc) will be above 5.3.2.

Check the Serial Number Database to try to track down an old console!

Be aware that if you purchase a Wii U with a firmware lower than 5.3.2, then you will need to buy a disc with 5.3.2 updates on it. That's another tricky part, since Nintendo has started producing reprints of games with firmwares higher than 5.3.2.

I will reference the serials mentioned in the definite guide reprint section when buying/updating necessary game disc.

Will buy tomorrow so I'll cross my fingers.

Lastly, I am in Japan now, is there no serial number database for older Japanese consoles? This list only included U/E. ><

I have bought the splatoon premium pack and it was on 3.1 then I update it to 5.3.2 using the game inside the bundle.
If you are still able to find this one go for it!
