What happens if you install a CIA (non-legit) on a system version higher than 9.2 using FBI or NASA? Will a system brick occur? Or would you simply have a unusable CIA installed on your SD Card?

and even if for some magical reason it would manage to install a non-legit cia he still would need something to run it.
It won't install because it needs the signature checks patched to even install it. If they were patched, you could run it as well. If you installed it on 9.2, then updated, it would not run. Only legit ones run without hacks if they're installed... but at the same time, there's absolutely no reason you'd be better of un-hacking it.
Even if you did get it installed, it will tell you that it cannot be launched and that you need to re-download it.

Well there is 2 options
Option 1: Nintendo will trace your location and send the SWAT team to your house to arrest you for piracy.

As others have stated, it won't install. To add a little bit more context though, FBI installers (all of them) look at the the CIA's signatures to make sure that they match what's allowable (presumably to make sure that you don't end up with something unusable installed to your system). If you're in an environment without signature checks (i.e. an emunand with sigchecks turned off) the installers will blindly accept any cia thrown their direction, and install them accordingly, since there's no validation on if they're valid (or "legit" as the current terminology states).
I would love to see option 1 happen and hear about it. Just a bunch of people swat into your house, and force update your 3ds.....

I mean, it's common sense isn't it guys?! Why do we have sig-patches? Why do we have CFW? We wouldn't have any need for them if we could just simply do what OP is suggesting and install a CIA on >9.2 without having to apply any patches of some sort.

Following the thread , You'll not be able to install it, it's that simple, but if you're on a FW below 10.3 , why don't give it a try and downgrade ?

Oh, don't you judge someone by their date of arrival on the Temp! You're not too far behind him, you know. Think you know everything yourself? All well and good, but it's been over a month now, and I think he could've gathered what happens if you do install a CIA on a >9.2 3DS.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -
