So I have a hardmodded 9.2.0-20J n3DS and 9.2.0-20U with 2.5 ninjhax cubic ninja for both regions.

I plan to:

1) Dump secureinfo_A (USA) from o3DS with Decrypt9WIP.

2) Install FBI into n3DS (JPN) sysNAND with miniPasta and inject secureinfo_A (USA) using Decrypt9WIP.

3) Update n3DS (JPN) to 10.5.0-20U through system settings. Reformat system.

4) Dump n3DS nand (10.5.0-20U.bin) using my hardmod.

5) Flash n3DS with 9.2.0-20J firmware using my hardmod.

6) Boot Emunand9 and create my EmuNAND partition.

7) Inject 10.5.0-20U.bin into EmuNAND partition.

8) Boot into EmuNAND and delete titles from compareTitleCVS.py output using FBI:
$ compareTitleCVS.py 9.2.0-20J.cvs 10.5.0-20P.cvs -region1 JPN -region2 USA
(Is this the correct command?)

9) Boot into EmuNAND and install missing titles using FBI. (The guides on this forum is missing a lot of details. Can someone explain it to me like i'm 5?)

EDIT: I just re-read your post and you are getting way to complicated with it. If both of your systems are on an exploitable firmware pretend your hardmod does not exist. You don't need it.

Dump your secureinfo_A from the US system.
Create an Emunand on your Japanese system on 9.2J
Follow the rest of the steps below.

1. Get all of the updates for the system region you want to switch to starting from the lowest you can find (4.2) to whatever your emunand is now (9.2). If you are using a N3DS get the O3DS updates up to 8.1 and then get the N3DS updates from 9.0 and up.

2. Merge all of the update cia's into a single folder overwriting older versions with newer versions (add 4.2 cia's to the folder then 4.5 cia's then 5.0 etc..) when you are done there should be around 170 files.

3. Delete all cia's starting with 0004001B, 0004800F, 00048005, 00040130, 00040138, and 00048005. These will prevent the emunand from loading.

4. Place all of these cia's in a folder named updates on the root of your sd card.

5. Use FBI to uninstall the main system titles from your emunand (system settings, mii maker, miiverse, camera, etc...). If you region change before deleting the system titles it will cause your emunand to freeze randomly and block you from entering the system settings app. (Compare the system titles of the region you are on with the region you are going to on 3dbrew.org. Delete system title with unique id's that do not match.)

6. Use sysupdater in emunand to install all of the cia's in your update folder. When this is done your system will reset.

7. Use decrypt9 or rxtools to inject the SecureInfo_A for your new region into emunand. My system was weird in that I had a SecureInfo_B instead of A so rxtools would not work but decrypt9 did.

8. Congrats!! You have a region changed system. Now format it and update however you like. I updated with a cart to 9.4U first and then updated through system settings to 10.4U.

The eshop will not work unless you had a SecureInfo_A from a system that never connected to the internet.

It's buried somewhere in the forums. I'm sure if you search you can find it.

I can however confirm this to be accurate as my emunand would not boot if I did not follow this step. I wrote this guide after weeks of searching the forums and a lot of trial and error. It has worked for just about everyone who has tried, the rest were unable to follow simple instructions.

Edit: Here is a video tutorial that was made based on my guide. Just ignore the part where he was deleting system titles in FBI. (He was a little confused)

Anywhere I can get these update files?:)

The iso site. Google can be your best friend if you treat her right.
Sorry to behave this kinda Lazy:ha: Since my country blocks google, so I didn't check it there. But I saw many guys mentioned "the iso site", do you all refer to the **** site?
Edited: Aha, can't post it.

Yeah, i followed the tutorial on the 2nd floor and the video tutorial posted in this thread (Many thanks to both of you) and successfully changed my emunand from JPN to USA, very happy to have an understandable system. But now i'm having a strange bug: it's about two system titles: Mii Maker and Face Raider(the game), see I created a folder and put all the system apps into it. But after I rebooted the console, just these two came out of the folder and appeared on the root screen. I tried to put them back, but after one reboot, they came out again.
Apart from this small bug, everything worked fine. Since I followed the step (emerge all firmware in to one folder), I do not have the bugs related to language input (eg:system crashes when renaming a folder). Can anyone help me solve this small problem? Any help will be appreciated!

It sounds like you have a N3DS. One flaw in this is you get the face raider game from the O3DS due to loading updates from the older system. It does not happen to everyone and I am not sure why. Look up the unique ID from for the O3DS on 3dbrew.org and delete it. It is probably the same for Mii Maker too.

Thanks for the reply. I have solved my problem through an offline update to the latest firmware(10.5.0-30u). After the update, the problem was gone. I think your explanation is quite right, during my recent update the titles for the O3ds must be overwrited by new ones for N3ds and then everything worked fine.
BTW, another question to ask you please. Is the microSD wireless manager BUG a common problem? (either in Settings or CIA app). I can open this function normally and I can use it to manage my tf card. But everytime when I close it, it caused a black screen.
I did't check for this problem online very carefully, if it is a widely known problem, please forgive me for being lazy~~

I follow that video guide to change the region from JP to USA. The only issue I have is when I streetpass; the text and my region is coming up as japanese. I think I might have missed deleting a system title using FBI. Anybody know how I can fix this? Can I just delete the streetpass system title and run the sysupdater again?

Try deleting streepass and installing the US version.

my current streetpass ID is 00021800 which according to 3dbrew is the USA version. Just to confirm, I can just delete that system title ID using FBI, copy the streetpass usa version(0004001000021800.cia) from the USA updates folder and install it using FBI or would I need to run Sysupdater to install that cia file?
