Hey guys,

Edit: Oops, I saw its in the wrong section... sorry my fault!

I already set up my o3DS XL with a different Emunand region. My o3DS is an european one and I changed it to japanese (firmware RX3D 10.5.0-30J)

I heard that its possible to enter the eShop on o3DS, here you have some information about my system:

- I forgot to delete some system apps like music, video (I have doubles, but eShop is the only one)
- I have 3 SD Cards with Emunand (2x EUR, 1x JAP) if this is important...
- The 3DS is set up with rxTools 2.6 Emunand 10.5.0-30J

I already tried some tutorials especially the 3 SD Card trick but its still the same error...

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance!

I think you cannot enter eshop from anoter region on your eur 3ds, with your emunand changed.

This is a known issue, if the error code is what i think it is. As far as I know, i don't think anyone got round to fixing this, yet I vaguely remember a method of using 3 SD cards. I tried it a while back and couldn't get it to work.

In the spoiler is the method I used a while back, but I don't know if it still works. I last tried it when 9.4 was the current fw

BEFORE DOING ALL THIS, PLEASE FORMAT THE SYSTEM MEMORY INSIDE THE EMUNAND BEFORE UPDATING. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS FIRST, YOUR NNID WILL BE BANNED FOREVER! I am just saying.

You'll need:

- 2 SD Cards
- 3rd SD Card, with another region, formatted and updated to 9.6, AND has an NNID Japan-like to work with rxtools.
- And a 4.1-4.5 SysNAND.

Step 1: Format EmuNAND with Gateway on the 2 SD Cards. Use the 1st SD Card via steps 2-6.
Step 2: Boot Gateway Mode. Go to System Settings, and go to the 4th page to lead to "Format System"
Step 3: Accept the format. After formatting, it'll kick you back to SysNAND.
Step 4: Now launch Gateway, launch EmuNAND and apply the 9.9 update. It'll kick you back to SysNAND.
Stpe 5: Test the EmuNAND again with Gateway. It'll say that you have new features. Then turn off the console.
Step 6: Turn off the 3DS, eject it, and use EmuNAND tool to Extract the the EmuNAND.
Step 7: Use the 2nd SD Card to inject the extracted EmuNAND. Close off EmuNAND tool after done, and eject the SD Card.
Step 8: With the 1st SD Card, set up an NNID. BUT DON'T SET IT UP ON THE 2ND SD CARD.
Step 9: After setting it up, launch the eShop. Set it up as usual. While on the main page, press HOME and close it off. Turn off the 3DS.
Step 10: Use the 2nd SD Card you didn't set up an Nintendo Network ID with, and launch eShop. It'll say an error message. When you see the error message, TURN OFF the 3DS. This is very important.
Step 11: Now use the 3rd SD Card with another region. Launch the eShop. Aw, it worked! Great job!

That tutorial worked. Why? Well, in order to access the eShop, you read on Nintendo's servers your Console's info on the server while visiting. With the Another SD Card, when you got the error code, it RESETS the info in the server. When visiting the eShop on ANOTHER region with another NNID set up Japan-like, it starts the eShop as like you really got an Japanese console! Great, right?

EDIT: I saw you already tried the above method. if that didnt work then I dont think there is a fix for this. No one did anything about it since.

I have some codes from a friend who was on a trip in japan. I wanted to redeem these game codes.
Ahhh right, fair enough.
The region-changing thing was only prominent when we found out that USA were not getting the smaller N3DS, so people started importing J/E versions and changing the region of the system. Some managed to get eShop to work but that is unknown. I have a huge feeling they just repeated the guide I posted many times.
Again this was back when 9.4 was the recent fw (I think anyways, only because I accidentally restored a 9.4J emuNAND to my sysNAND and had to get it hard-modded)
