Hacking 9.0 sys/9.5 ReiNAND on N3DSXL, what's the correct way to update emunand to 10.5?

It's been a while since I setup emunand and I'm not sure how to update it. I think I need to update it to get Story of Seasons CIA to work.

if you use the new ReiNand, you can safely go to 10.5.

Oh nice. So I just add the new ReiNAND files to the SD then I can update it like normal? The new files should be in the ReiNAND thread right.

yes, also don't forget to replace firmware.bin with the new one linked on GitHub

Oh I almost forgot, I originally set it up with Ninjhax using my Sky. But I recently sold my Sky. I won't need Cubic Ninja again for this update will I, or to install the DS profile entry thing?

if you already have access to cfw, you can use the same entry point in. otherwise, use browserhax and set up menuhax or MSET exploit

I see data, emunand, source, and thread folders there. I found the firmware.bin from the readme.md file. It mentions something about running Make. It's been a while since I've done this. All I really remember from the process is to make sure everything from the SD card is backed up first.

make your own copy of Story Of Seasons using 3ds simple cia converter version 4.3 . put a tic in the firmware spoof box. you will then have a copy of seasons thatll work with your firmware....

edit: my emunand is still 9.2 and i can play any game you care to mention.....only takes 5 mins to make once youve located the 3ds file....

Yeah I might have to finally learn how to do that. I've been using that ISO site, but it's so hard to find exactly what you want from there and even when you do sometimes all the download links are down, like with EUR ACHHD. I can find any 3ds file easily, but finding EUR CIAs is proving to be a big challenge.

Oh I see it, on github. v3.1 is the latest release, says it supports 10.2.

It's fine , 10.4 and 10.5 didn't change/patch anything to emunand so it's safe to upgrade to 10.5 for emunand

Wow, updating it was so easy. For some reason I had it in my mind that I had to do a lot of complicated steps. Thanks for the help. And that CIA of Story of Seasons works great now too, though from the description it should have worked on 9.5 anyway.
