So I want to unlink sysNand and emuNand to be like the cool kids here.
But which way should I do it? There's a rxTools guide on using TinyFormat and another video guide on using the format setting prebuilt on the 3DS.

I used TinyFormat, myself. The guide I used stated that you should use TinyFormat if you have an NNID, and use system format if you don't care.

Ok, So I'm using tinyformat for now on an O3DS.
Should I take out my SD Card at some point or let it take it's course?
I'm scared of it deleting my sysNand and emuNand.
I'll try when I finish backing up my SD Card.

You need to make sure you are using some sort of software to create a backup image of your SD, the emunand partition is hidden in windows and cannot be seen through explorer. I'm unsure of how other OS's.
