Can I safely update my EmuNAND (with the latest Gateway firmware) to the latest system version or will I then miss out on any functionality?

Is there some resaon why fire emblem awakening dlc doesn't work in this case:

Rxtools cfw, emunand 9.0,
game installed to emunand from .cia,
same region dlc installed to emunand from .cia,
both injected using FBI.

In Outrealm Gate, when selecting play dlc missions, error "no SD card located" occurs. Is there some step I'm missing or is it not possible for the dlc to work with the .cia version.

Do I just use sysUpdater to update to 9.2, or do I need to find one of those 9.2 Smash 3DS carts?

hello again as i said before they dont need to be updated for cfw all are in 4.x to 9.2 range you can use this guide to for n3ds [Tutorial] How-to install a CFW on a 9.0-9.2 N3DS without CN/OOT
and this one an o3ds [Tutorial] Installing rxTools Custom Firmware - (3DS and 2DS) (the o3ds guide includes a section an updating to 9.2 . . . after you install cfw and with the official version of sysupdater) . . . btw if today is the day you hack them then i totally called it 10.4 blocks the downgrade and was recently released (you were wise to downgrade when you did . . . )

i dont recommend smash for this try to find a game that needs 4.x or 6.x use this list as a reference 3DS Releases

but to directly answer your question . . . i need the full firmware version of your 3ds the last number is important
ex 2.2.0-12E

the last number repersents the browser version so the 1.0.0-0U has no browser

Hey everyone. I was wondering if there was some way to find a raw save file from one of my games on an old sd card backup and be able to take it and inject it into my game on a new sd card? It seems pretty hopeless but I figured I would ask.

I had unlinked my 2DS nands and then updated to 10.4 I tried to access the eshop and got the error 022-2634. So I followed the guide here,http://pastebin.com/EBKipkPW.
It seemed to go fine, Formatted, relinked the NNID, went into eshop, good.
Then copied emunand user folder back and emunand.bin to emunand and saw everything restored.
I load up the eshop, bam, 022-2634 errors again.
Any idea what may have went wrong?

Worst case, I'd rather not, I suppose I could go about reinstalling everything. Although I'm unsure how I'd do the game saves.
I'm up to the restore emunand/folder step again.

try this

If you get the "022-2634" when trying to access the eShop on the latest EmuNAND, try this (thanks to @Nestar):

1. Backup your emuNAND.
2. Backup all emuNAND files (ticket.db etc.) with rxTools.
3. Backup the content of your SD card.
4. Format emuNAND.
5. Recover your SD card content and boot rxTools in emuNAND.
6. Update to 10.4.0-29X and boot into emuNAND again.
7. Go to system settings and to NNID at the top; follow instructions.
8. Boot emuNAND and start the eShop; simply restart the 3DS if it keeps looping after the password input.
9. Once in the eShop, close it and shut down.
10. Recover your whole SD card once more. *
11. Inject emuNAND backup.
12. Inject all emuNAND file backups.
13. Start the eShop in emuNAND and it should refresh your software.
14. And now you should have emuNAND eShop access without any loss ofStreetPass/Save/Friend/etc. data.

I did notice that I still only have 1 folder in Nintendo 3DS. From what I recall it created the new one for the Sysnand when I unlinked it yesterday. So I had the 2. But now with Sysnand unlinked and the Emunand linked and w/ eshop, it still only has 1 folder. Shouldn't they be separate?

as for streetpass stuff, I will have to check. The kids hadn't used it since I put them on Emunand so I don't know if that was inherited to Emunand initially but never accessed, or lost. Or still sitting in an SDcard dump I made.

yes both folders need to be present and no part of the 3ds will ever erase one of them (it will replace/create if you format the system but that is another story) the point is i think you copied the wrong backup folder from your pc to your 3ds sdcard sometime after you unlinked

One folder is 11MB and other is 10GB, so I would like to think the 11mb was the fresh, no NNID sysnand from the unlink.
The rules did say back up to PC and i technically cheated by moving the emunand folder. After format I moved it back. This saved me 20+ mins in transferring. I can't see how that would make a difference. as of right now I am on formatted emunand w/ eshop working and copying the folders back over.
I'll see what difference that makes if any. Then I will restore emunand.bin to at least narrow down which step breaks it.

It seems to be using the same Nintedo 3DS folder for unlinked sys and linked emunand again. If I change them in rx10.4 it breaks menuhax. I thought these should be seperate at this point?

I did some experiments with my N3DS trying to update a copy of my emunand with rxTools, black screen after updating with the lastest rxtools release (01/22/16).

(Not my doubt but does`t cost to share)

My issue is with N3DS with rxTools 3.0b and emunand 9.2. My Amiibo`s don`t work on it and I don`t have any idea what to do to make it work and there some games that supports this function.

Any ideas?

Obs. Reinand is not a option because I played Monster Hunter X a lot...

this might be answered before but here goes. would hosting firmware updates on a proxy server be at all possible, for example if say i failed to downgrade an n3ds properly, if i had proxy set up to somewhere other than nintendo to update through recovery mode back to 10.3 instead of 10.4 if someone was able to host the 10.3 firmware. which would give us the chance to try again. is it possible or am i just talking BS.?

Can you confirm you have the game installed from CIA, not using the .3DS version(people claim the dlc installed from cia does work when using the .3ds rom on gateway), with the CIA of the DLC installed. It seems many people have had this problem and there is no confirmation if anyone ever got it working. I have tried resetting, closing and restarting software about 20 times, which yields the same message "Could not detect SD card. Please re-download any downloaded maps from the e-shop." which obviously, is not ideal.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help or confirm it is possible to run the dlc in this situation, i can only find comments of people with the same issue and no solutions.

Ages ago, I downgraded MSET so I could launch CFW through the NDS profile exploit. Now, I just launch CFW through menuhax. Is there any risk of restoring my old mset? I found the values of the files for 3DNUS, just wondering if there's any problem or any risk of restoring/upgrading the mset?
