Since you seem to know a bit. What is the reason that it works better when hosted locally? Just quicker access to the files or less people trying to access it at once?
I believe it has to do with quicker access. Less time for it to lock up before it can load everything.
My reason for believing this is that I hosted a server on a desktop wired to my router, and all the exploits worked every time. (Minus the kernel exploit, that's finicky no matter what.)
But when I hosted a server on a laptop connected wirelessly to my router, all the exploits froze almost every time, due to that extra latency.

Could you make a guide on using yellow8's payloads? Or what to do after putting them on a webserver? :) Got it all on Apache
The way I have mine set up doesn't require his payloads, and if memory serves, the MP4 that's on the new site of @05sonicblue's is based off of it.

Speaking of which I need to update the URL.

Can someone please tell me how to host on android?

There you go: (You can click on the little arrow and then go to Hacks -> Hosting on Android Phone)

How do I host my own exploits/files on my Android phone? · Firmware Version Required:
5.3.2 or underDownloads:
Android: kws - Android Web Server or Tiny Web Server Free
Thanks to @Tesa for this tutorial.

This tutorial is possible on any version which supports kWS (creating the hotspot WILL be different and you'll need to figure out that part on your own).

You'll need to disable your cellular internet connection before doing any of this! Please do NOT forget this. Your Wii U WILL update if you don't do this. This means your phone won't have internet access during the process!

These instructions specifically are for Samsung Galaxy devices. My DROID Maxx did not warn me or disconnect me from my current wireless network. I had to make sure my Mobile Network was disconnected myself.

1. Extract the DefinitivePackage to a folder named "wiiu"
2. Copy the "wiiu" folder over to the root of your phone storage (The one with the "Android", "Alarms", etc. folders)
3. Create a "Mobile Hotspot" with your phone. Go to your phone settings -> Connections -> More networks and select "Tethering and mobile hotspots"

4. Enable "Mobile Hotspot", this will warn you that you'll be disconnected from your current wireless network.

5. You should now be able to access the settings of the mobile hotspot (either by clicking on it or clicking the icon on the top left. This will show you the status, SSID and password.

6. Open kWS and you should see this:

7. Go into Settings and click on "Home directory" in the "General" area. Type in "/sdcard/wiiu":

8. Accept and start the server, you should now see your local IP.

9. Connect your Wii U to your local hotspot.
10. Open your browser and go to the ip shown (in my case 192.168.43.1:8080 or 192.168.43.1:8080/index.html

As long as your cellular data is OFF there's no way your Wii U will be able to connect to the internet/download updates.
