Hacking The right way to extract wud files

I'm using Uwizard and my extracted files are waaaaay smaller than the original wud file (Zelda Windwaker HD wud file = 24.5 GB, Extracted files = 1.8 GB. Similar results for Mario 3d World)

I can only assume that this is why they won't fire up with loadliine 1.0 and my 5.4 U Wii U.

Can someone please tell me if I'm extracting these right? I have common key and title key put in when I extract and I don't get any errors. I'm confused.

Hi,

Do you really think that WiiU games use all the data space of an optical disc ?
Didn't you see that games are much smaller than 24GB when compressed (which means that there is a lot of dummy data) ?


of course extracted games are much smaller, all dummy data is gone and you keep only the needed files !
there is nothing wrong. WUD are 1:1 RAW encrypted images of discs, including all the garbage to "fill the gaps"

some examples (working nicely with loadiine v4 on my 5.3.2 WiiU) :

Captain Toad : 1.3GB
Yoshi's Whooly World : 7.4GB
Kirby Rainbow Curse : 2.9GB
Shovel Knight : 170MB !


You can use DiscU to compare some extracted games...if you really want to be sure.

Because the kernel exploit is extremely new (for us) and v1.0a is buggy as hell.
If you're expecting to have a solid experience with the 5.4 hax this soon, you've got another thing coming.
