run emunand9tool
dump emunand with tool it should now make a .bin file in root of sd card (its1gb or 2gb)
Create a new blank emunand on the 128gb card with same tool (it supports card swapping)
Copy everything from original sd/microsd to the pc and then to the new card
Run emunand9tool from sysnand
Restore the Emunand backup onto of the blank one.

Done

@squee666 that's asking a lot for a person currently using an 8GB card...

Use emunandtool on your PC to dump your current emunand

Format 128GB card as fat32 (it will be currently exFat by default) using 3rd party software (windows will not give you the choice of fat32). I use Easus partition master, but sdformatter will probably do it (use the options button and choose Type: Full(erase) and check the other block as well for size adjustment, for best results).

Insert 128GB card into 3DS and format emunand.

Place 128GB card into PC and delete everything, copy everything from the original card, and use emunandtool to inject the emunand backup you made in step 1.

Done.

Edit: :ninja:

and I was not aware you could use emunandtool on a card that was not already partitioned for emunand

I'm not talking about emunand9, I'm talking about emunandtool. It's MUCH faster reading from the card to PC than reading from one partition while writing to the other at the same time (in the 3DS... even slower than doing it that way on a PC).

Why not just extract your Emunand with Emunand tool format the new card using the Gateway Menu through HBL and inject it into the new card and drag all your files over?

My method was easy and straightforward. All of the other methods included weird shit I didn't want to do. I also needed to download an Emunand tool which was highly unnecessary? Don't do that lol. SO! Without further adieu, here is what I did.

1. Copied all content of my EMUNAND sd card, and safely placed them somewhere on my PC.
2. I launched Gateway from the website and formatted my new SD Card with the Gateway "Format" menu.
3. I then copied EVERYTHING from my previous sd card back onto my new one (Including the Nand.bin and Nintendo 3DS folder). Literally everything.
4. Popped my SD card in and everything worked :D

Er.. emunand is in a different partition you can't just copy it across.
