Some games unfortunately require higher firmwares, and there are no workarounds to this. I will ask though what firmware does the game require?

Well, you can try to install TN-V onto your pstv which will allow you to play a lot more emulators than what was designed for rejuvenate.

snes emulation on TN-V is running 100% without any interruptions. So is GBA emulation.

dont' you think native emulators are better on vita/tv? eg. snes?
The native emulators need a lot of work. But in theory, they would have better performance if they continue to receive updates. From what I hear, Retroarch runs pretty darn well. So if you are on a low enough firmware and don't mind not having PSN access, installing Rejuvenate is probably a good idea. Look here: http://wololo.net/rejuvenate-ps-vita/

Even if they're not as good as the ePSP alternatives right now, native is pretty much the only future for hacks on the Vita. Nobody wants to develop for the old and over-done PSP, so if there's any hope for better emulators coming to Vita, you can bet they will be native. (Which means Rejuvenate, right now.)

snes emulation on TN-V is running 100% without any interruptions. So is GBA emulation.

Not at full speed though, usually requiring to use the European version (50fps) and then frameskip to 1 (25fps). Whereas some of the native Rejuvenate stuff allows Mode 7 type games like Super Mario Kart, F-ZERO and Pilotwings to run 50-60fps. Stuff requiring SFX chips like Starfox still struggle though. SNES games that were basically broken via Snes9xMECMtyl on PSP or Vita via TN-V like Bart's Nightmare and Wing Commander due to weird sprite issues work fine through CATSFC, either RetroArch or skogaby's versions (the latter tend to be faster/higher average consistent framerate)

RetroArch doesn't work as well as people might think, sadly. The emulators themselves are very stable and exit back to VitaShell cleanly all the times I've tried it, but the SNES emulators are slower, the Genesis one struggles to keep up on some games (specifically the pseudo-3D bonus levels in Sonic 3 & Knuckles) where the framerate drops and the sound is generally glitchy so PicoDrive via ePSP is still superior. Sadly there's no RetroArch port of the GBA emulator that I've seen yet - we have mGBA but that also struggles on the one game I've tested that works, Pokemon: LeafGreen, and fails to correctly load Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It's a shame as the upscaling is much better than on gPSP so graphically it's superior but the emulation on gPSP is near perfect. This applies even running the latest mGBA nightlies too, how it struggles to emulate a fairly basic console in full power Vita native mode when a different emulator on the less powerful ePSP mode is close to flawless is a bit baffling, guess it just needs optimisation. Or better still ports of PicoDrive, gPSP and MAME4ALL to Rejuvenate. As they're so tuned for the PSP hardware though, I would guess this wouldn't be possible.

For SNES emulation, choose Rejuvenate. For everything else, there's ePSP. That's the gist of it. Most times when I load Rejuvenate it's to play SNES games, or to test out newer versions of other emulators.
