I wanted to dump sound module that is needed for chhm2 cia on my n3ds 9.5 emunand, so i wanted to start the dumper in HBL, BUT - I hit accidentaly...TinyFormat... Epic fail...brain.exe had freeze for a couple of seconds...
After I calmed down I realized I had a EmuNAND backup on n3ds FW 9.0 (now grading to 9.5 up...again) and it was backuped before I started to use the EmuNAND - it's been setted up but all my applications aren't on homemenu anymore, but still present on the sdcard. Again - it's the same nand on that I installed all titles, so same keyY (hopefully nothing changes with updating firmware). I readed that information about installed titles are stored in titles.db.
so is it possible to show all installed titles again in the homescreen?
right now I'm upgrading back to 9.5 up

You have an encryption error I think. I'm not too tech savvy... But, I think every time you format your system or redo it ( Such as EmuNAND. ), it generates a unique encryption to prevent piracy. You'd need to try and format your EmuNAND and inject it again.

But artur restored his emunand backup so it uses the same encryption as all those cias

That's what I wanted to say, but roboman was faster. why do I need to format and reinject emunand? that's basically what I did accidentaly in the first place!
Before I formatted I installed a custom theme. because my nands are unlinked I only saw the theme on my emunand. I didn't used custom themes before making an backup. After restoring emunand the custom theme was back - so isn't that a proof for the same encrytion keys?

It's the ticket.db in the nand, it doesn't recognize you have those titles, unless you have the ticket.db from your old emunand (that you installed the titles on, not a backup from before you installed the titles) I believe you have to reinstall everything..

can't I recreate ticket.db? that was many titles I installed, so many bought dlc's, games, patches and homebrew... It would me cost a half day to install all back, because my sd card hasn't the double space for all cia for installation in one row...

It might be possible to modify the ticket.db to show cias as "installed" without installing all the files. But people don't normally run into this problem so there isn't much incentive to develop a tool to do so. Maybe someone like steviece can do it if it's quick and easy.

Your ticket.db contains all owned content. ( Bought legally ) . Installing a unowned CIA file will not alter your file. I think you might just have to restart...

I have an idea.
Backup your "Nintendo3ds" folder, install all your cias, then restore your Nintendo 3ds folder.
It would set the cias as installed in ticket.db and keep all the data as it is on the sd card

I will try. Another question: If you reinstall a game cia, will the savedata deleted?

because that's what happened to me with a professor layton - played cia normal to the final, last riddle, then " A error has occured. Hold Power to power off the system"-blackscreen error. no problem, I thought, redump cartridge, 3ds --> cia then hit in FBI reinstall. All saves are gone... has ruined my day...

I think CIA saves are in the CIA. If you install a fresh CIA, I think you get a fresh save.

Try using savedatafiler and export all your saves.

No, save data is saved in the same folder as the .app file but not in the .app file.

Replacing 00000001.sav on the sd with the one from the backup for any game worked! didn't thought that this could work. even smash 3ds. was no need for sdf so far.
