You have to redownload them, you can't transfer them between systems (NANDS are unique).

You can keep the savedata by exporting it using SaveDataFiler and ithen mport it to the N3DS using SaveDataFiler again.

my idea...
system transfer.
this will let you use the encrypted stuff on your old 3ds on your new3ds.
then, copy the games installed on the sd card over.
i guess you won't have the tickets needed after the transfer... you will have to install them...
dump the tickets first with FunkyCIA, then... yifanlu made a ticket installer homebrew.
this should all work, no cia installing needed :)

the best answer i think for you.
not so simple i guess. but very possible. good luck
best answer you will get in my opinion

That's what I'm talking about.

You should keep this experiences as a reference for the future.

Having games backed up in your PC is always good even if you don't plan in buying another system.

Sounds very interesting but is this possible? Would I have to downgrade my O3ds to the same FW on new 3ds?

-both 3ds's turned on
-same fw 3ds(does it matter if host is 10.3?)
-dump tickets with funky cia on o3ds
-install tickets on n3ds

DOes this sound about right?

i don't know how to system transfer across different fws but it is possible i think. you need to find out that info on your own. (search the forum)

What part would the actual game installations be so that I could move them from one place to the other?

sd card, look in the. intendo 3ds folder, for a folder called titles, just copy the whole sd card anyway.
i really believe this will work from my steps i wrote out but it would be nice to get someone to confirm if it sounds good to them
@gamesquest1 :)

Do you have a .cia or a .3dsx version of this? http://gbatemp.net/threads/funkycia...as-from-your-eshop-stuff.377015/#post-5228804

what exactly are you talking about? FunkyCIA in cia/3dsx format?
Step 1 - Download http://gbatemp.net/attachments/launcher_ticketdb-dat-zip.13329/
**** The code is unstable, you might have to run it a bunch of times before it works.
When it works you will know, it is fast, so if your screen does nothing for like 5 seconds just turn off and try again. I once had to try 7 times - usually I am lucky though ***

Step 2 - Extract it and rename it to Launcher.dat - rename the actual GW Launcher.dat to something else for now.

I want to use that .dat in hbl or install it as a .cia

FunkyCia redownloads cias based on your tickets.db

I dont need to download my cias because I did the folder extraction yout old me to do yesterday. So basically Right now I just need to dump the tickets.db from my emunand and put it on my n3ds emunand and I should be able to read the title folder(from o3ds 50.5gb) on my new 3ds if I extract my tickets.db and replace it with the one in my n3ds emunand. So basically I want to pass my cias from o3ds to n3ds without redownloading the cias all over again.
