Homebrew Homebrew Launcher not loading...Losing my mind!

Long time lurker, furst time poster (this is the first time I havent been able to solve my problem via info gleaned from the posts here).

I have a ton of experience as far as modded consoles go and did a lot of work with homebrew on the Wii, but this totally has me stumped.

I have a NEW 3DS XL running 10.3.0.28. I have tried ninjhax 2.5 severak times (using a Sky3DS+ and cubic ninja rom) and also the updated BrowserHax, neither have worked. I have the files/folders from the HB starter kit and the boot.3dsx on the ROOT of my SD. I scan the correct QR code, it goes through its process of blinking blue, yellow, green but it always freezes with the top screen black and the touch screen red.

It has happened this same way about a dozen times using ninjhax and a half dozen with the fright_tgx3 browserhax.

I have noticed that after trying and failing the exploit when i put my SD in my computer the boot.3dsx either has a filesize of 0kb OR it shows up as boot.3dsx.BAD. Note: I also tried the "updated" boot.3dsx that was released to help with "red screening" when loading homebrew apps.

Does anybody have any experience with this proble, that can privide some insight? I really want to be able to play Region Free Roms on my Sky3ds+.

TL;DR..exploits freezing on red screen before loading Homebrew Launcher.

What firmware are you on? You don't have emuNAND do you or you haven't installed any CIA's or messed with the the NAND? Do you know if you have several partitions on that SD card? Where did you buy the 3DS? Try the gridlauncher boot.3dsx file

NEW 3DSXL on 10.3.0.28. The only thing ive done is played a cpl DS games on my R4i RTS and some retail 3DS games. SD card is 32GB UHS-1 freshly formatted to FAT32 w/ all the necessary files copied to ROOT.

Did you use the auto BrowserHax?

Yes...I think. Im not sure I know of any other. I reset my browser data, went back into the browser and typed

h44p:\\yls8.mtheall (dot)com/"youknowwhat",(uscore)fright(uscore)tgx3.php

NOTE: intentionally messed up the formatting of the URL as not to infringe on amy rules about posting such info, i culled the CORRECT (i think) URL from a number of diff sources. And i did try some of the others and they didnt work.

Have you tried a different sdcard and redownload the starter pack?

Scan the QR code from that main site that links to the BrowserHax versions

Have you updated from a previous ninjhax? Could be a payload problem.

Ive tried 3 different SD cards and ive redownloaded the starter pack multiple times from several sources. Like I said in OP, I have quite a bit of experience regarding homebrew/modded consoles so I tried all the usual generic troubleshooting

I have not done any exploits or altered the sytem in anyway. Up to this point I played a few DS roms from my R4i and a cpl retail 3ds games.

Ive continued attempting both ninjhax and browserhax since I posted this thread and EVERYTIME it cycles through the colors; yellow, gray, green, blue and red (at which point it freezes). With a red touchscreen and a black display screen.

...I.guess Im just going to have to play only US region games, bummer.

Im going to post up a video of my process if anybody is still interested in helping me get this figured out.

Try getting rid of every homebrew-related thing on your SD. Get the latest starter pack from smea's site, chuck it on your SD and try using the Browserhax auto page as opposed to the device specific one.

Also try to delete the webkithax_tmp file and clear your cookies and history while using browserhax

I also dont have any history, bookmarks or cookies...i hadnt used the browser before trying this. Plus, I cleared all browser dataeach time befire trying the exploit again.

Im having a hard time giving up on this but I really cant come up with any ideas on what could be hanging things up. Everytime I see that damn red screen I wany to break something

That's so odd, it sounds like something keeps corrupting your boot.3dsx. Have you considered backing up your SD and formatting it (the SD not the 3DS)?

I have already done so at least twice with my (brand new) 32gb card, not to mention i tried it with a freshly formatted 4gb card (also fairly new).

And ive used the boot.3dsx from smealum page and the "fixed" one he posted to twitter (they may be the same at this point but I have been tring alterations at every potential fault point).

I appreciate everyones suggestions up to this point. I have since resigned myself to gtabbing all my games in USA rehion and given up hope of playing any early releases from other regions.

I still want to figure this out, if only for a personal pride thing at this point. I welcome any more help and I will update any success for others that may encounter a similar problem, buy for now I just want to play some games...

have you formatted the 3ds? not the sd

also try the microsd management to transfer the files after a format via the 3ds rather than your pc

This is crazy! So you're saying that you've used the initailize save data button before? Also, can you give us some specifics on your 3ds and sd card? Is there maybe something in your router that can block inbound communications? You might have to ask Smea
