Quick question, did Team GW ever address the DEADB00B DEADB00B default code on cheat list?
Its a little intrusive, why couldn't we have gotten a blank list?

I thought installing CIAs on sysnand wouldn't work because of signatures. Or do you mean sysnand in GW mode ?
How do I boot GW on sysnand rather than emunand ?

Go to the GW menu (keep L pressed when it's supposed to go to emuNAND). Then, select GW mode (first choice) but instead of confirming with A, confirm with A while keeping the X button pressed. Or maybe it isn't X, I'm not sure, just try to press all buttons (except A) and see which one changes the text.

In my case it helps to have the ds profile exploit on 4x so you can use mset for both gateway 3ds and rxtools instead of directly booting into one or the other, for something like using rxtools to help make .cia files for gateway 3ds or something similar.

With CTRBootmanager you can choose to boot GW or RXtools through a menu or by pressing some button : again, no need for Mset anymore with MenuHax, it's more convenient.

Since GW blocked DS flashcards in their EmuNand, you need to install the bluecardfix to the sysnand which obiviously means you will be able to play DS games (GW blue card) only in sysnand.

If you wish to upate your sysnand to 9.0 to be able use the themehax and ctr boot manager and to use the GW blue card for DS games in sysnand, just follow ths Guide:

Copy devmenu.3ds to your GW red card and copy the bluecardfix.cia to the internal microSD card and boot to the Gateway menu and highlight the option "BOOT GATEWAY MODE" and hold the B button and "BOOT GATEWAY SYSNAND MODE" should appear, while holding B, press the A button and after that press the X button and your 3DS should boot to your sysnand (OFW) but with signatures disabled which means you would be able to press the "SELECT" buton in sysnand mode and launch devmenu.3ds to install the bluecardfix.cia. Install/import the bluecardfix.cia and restart your 3DS and boot in normal sysnand and insert your GW blue card and the game "Deep Labyrinth Atlus USA" should appear and.......... enjoy.

BTW prepare the microsd card for your GW blue card before using it:

1. Format micro SD card to FAT32
2. Copy "Blue Card (R4i)" contents to root of Micro SD card (alternative copy Ace3DS+ wood kernel)
3. Copy DS ROMS to root of Micro SD Card

In my opinion yeah, a bit.
It would've looked a lot better as a blank slate that you could insert addresses to manually rather than to have every address filled in already as DEADB00B, in my opinion.
Because now instead of simply adding a value to an empty space or changing 00000000 to your address, you have to change a preset value which is pretty tedious.

I created themes after creating emunand too, so there's no difference. If you chose option 2, you'll get the loop. Your setup is the one I went with in the end.



Crawled through a few threads of the current method, tried it multiple times, and figured it's not worth the trouble... I'll just wait for n3ds emunand support... it'll come eventually...

I don't really mind so much what it says, I found it pretty funny at first, but as I began searching for more and more codes and experimented with loops and offsets, having to change DEADB00B every address began annoying me as it adds an extra step to the process.

If you found hits, instead of pressing A to enter the hex editor you can also press X (or Y again, forgot which one of the 2) to automatically add it to the editor as a cheat code.

i didnt find anything about this in the documentation, its just something i discovered by pressing buttons

The bluecardfix.cia is actually the oldest available version the DS cart whitelist, it's signed with Nintendo's system key.

I didn't know that, hmm, didn't see that in the Documentation.

i didnt find anything about this in the documentation, its just something i discovered by pressing buttons

From the latest changelog...

In the cheatcode editor, simply press START to save the current code list to a new cheat code.
Or, configure the cheatlist and press X to edit or press Y to remove the current highlighted cheat code.
From the hit list, you can now also press X to add the current hit as a code to the cheatcode editor.

Had no idea it was broken now. Gateway team might be the ones who can fix it if you send them a email and for now go back to 3.4.1 where savedatafiler still works.
