I also have a question, but don't feel the need to post an entire thread for it.

What is the downside to updating my emunand to 10.3 ? I'm on o3ds

none, update through your sysnand after you update through emunand (make sure to enable tubedns). permanent cfw is now a thing.

Thanks for not making a new thread for that question. I can't think of any downsides. You could even make an emunand backup of your lower firmware and go back if needed. On 10.3 all the new games will work without havig to be cryptofied and you get eshop access.

updated my emunand to 10.3 and then my sysnand to 10.3 and i was able to access both my nnids. not only that, but it also unlinked them too. two hurdles in one small step.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to take the word of one person on gbatemp without any other proof and I think other people would agree with me

tbh you'd be a fool to take the word of anyone on this forum. the official guide hardbricked my o3ds back when it firsrt came out.

heres some advice: all the tuts here are shit. just follow your heart and update. or dont. its your choice, really.

Don't listen to that guy, he's about to get banned anyway.

Update your emunand to 10.3 and don't touch your sysnand EVER.

bull. Update sysnand and the vulnerabilities exploited to even load cfw in the first place are gone.

Also, emunand is great because it only exists on your SD card. You can make a backup of it in 5 minutes and then do whatever you want to it with no consequences. If you break it, just restore the backup. No problem.
