The downgrading part worked for a friend of mine but what about updating?

In my case i was going to use this to upgrade from a gateway 3ds downgraded 4.2u sysnand to 9.2u sysnand. I am using a retail cart of cubic ninja to load homebrew launcher and from there load sysupdater. Once i load up sysupdater before i press either the upgrade or downgrade buttons there is a error message,

#3 : Map SlabHeap in userland...
ERROR : Can't create allocating thread.
Failure! :(

That is the exact message.

Just successfully downgraded my 9.9.0-26E O3DSXL to 9.2.0-20E. Had to eject my sd card to prevent it from getting stuck during boot after the downgrade finished, but apart from that it worked flawlessly.

Successfully downgraded, but I'm having issues using sliderhax to get back into HBL (An error has occurred, every time. Have tried like 12 times now). :/

EDIT: Finally got it to work, getting ready to get rxTools working now, thanks for all the awesome work guys.

Try tapping the area that the slider appears as fast as possible. The sooner, the more likely you'll succeed (at least when I've tried.)

About to do the thing. Heart lowkey pounding because I've never bricked anything and never want to and am not running a hardmodded system - basically I'm throwing 200$ I can't replace at sysupdater and praying it gives it back.

See yall in hell.

Just remember to hit "Downgrade" and not "Upgrade" and you'll be fine. I downgraded my 9.9.0 (US) O3DS to 9.2.0 (US) and had no issues. However, if you have menuhax installed, you will want to take out your sdcard until after the downgrade so it can finish the "first boot" fully.

I've been lurking gbatemp all day waiting for this and it works.

My brand new o3ds XL was successfully downgraded from 10.3 -> 9.2 (after actually getting the menu to not freeze up.) Signed up just to report my findings :)
