First, download the latest starter pack from smealum.github.io/3ds

Update your 3ds to the latest firmware.

Then go to yls8.mtheall.com/browserhax.php and install menuhax.

Oops my mistake. If you have a O3DS go to http://yls8.mtheall.com/spider28hax.php but if you have a N3DS go to http://yls8.mtheall.com/browserhax_fright_tx3g.php

Yeah and the Ironfall exploit is available through the Old eShop Downloader in the starter pack.

Ironfall itself is still patched on the newest version to stop it from being exploited, but with the Old eShop Downloader you should be able to download the old version of Ironfall that hasn't been patched yet from the eShop (Versions 1.0 and 1.1 aren't patched.)

Not sure if Nintendo took down the old ironfall versions yet, but if they haven't you should download it before they do to get a quick offline *hax entrypoint.

when i tried to download the Old Ironfall on my friends 3ds, only the latest version downloaded, so I think it was patched.

That's actually just what it appears to be doing. If you let the download to complete then the old version will be sitting on your home menu.:D

I know you have to make sure to download EVERYTHING on the Old version downloader, as in press the Download Now button rather than downloading it later in sleep mode. It took me a couple of tries when I did a while back since I was figuring out which files I needed to copy to my SD since I already had some files from a previous starter pack. I would try again... The download does take a while though. Has anyone been able to download the old Ironfall today?

Or you can just run browserhax to get into HBC, then install homemenuhax/shufflehax there.

But, yeah honestly you should go through the extra 10 minutes to get Ironhax up and running, just incase they take it down from the shop.
Browserhax->Homemenuhax will give you Homebrew Launcher literally on bootup, but hey if you end up changing a sysnand theme or something you'll lose homemenuhax and will need to use Ironhax/Browserhax to re-install homemenuhax. so i'd say go for it, get em all lol

edit: All of these "hax" things will sound confusing when you're just getting into it, but after a little bit of reading and executing on your 3DS you'll get the hang of it and it will make sense.

Downloading even 1% on the old eShop and rest in sleep mode should work fine. It worked for me.
