Finally Japanese nintendo 2DS on their region , with special version for each pokemon game (and colored ABXY!! lol), that may come pre installed in an (awesome) original game like game box, and the color of the respective game, Aka (red), Midori, ,Ao(blue) and Pikachu (yellow, It's "pocket monsters pikachu" on japan, not "pokémon tellow version" like on western versions o3o)

They will start selling at February 2 by the price of 9,980 Yen
Getting one come with the digital game corresponding the color (legit cias? yay), a code to get special mew for XY/ORAS, a ticket to get one on the classics games, trading it in a store, also includes a town map of Kanto and some adhesives.
And themes! xD

2DS is shit but they look cool at least.

They're also re-releasing the base set of the pokemon TCG, which was awesome news.

why? from what i heard, the only downside to them is that you can't put them into your pocket.
they're supposedly a lot more comfortable to hold, they're cheap to buy and their start and select button arent weirdly placed right below the screen. and who

If you've ever held one and then held a regular 3DS, you'd know why they're shit.
They really are. They're a poor mans 3DS. Which is fine, it's nice to make cheaper options but it's clearly inferior to the regular models. If they made some N3DS' in that style i'd probably actually buy one because they do look quite nice.

Thinking you could buy one of these and replace the casing with a regular 2ds with the pocket monsters see through casing.

yeah this is a idea haha, since modded console don't need region ...
BUT Gw told that support to 10.thing will come SOON™ so if you want one don't have to care too much about swaping boards... but importing it XD
Importing one wold be a problem but.. this green .3. (I don't even like 2DS that much haha)

well i did hold one, but i never played with one for more than half a minute at a store. but i also feel that the psp go is comfortable to play with so my opinion apparently doesn't overlap a lot with general consensus. its just i hear people rave about the form factor for holding the thing wherever i went.
its a poor mans 3ds because its cheaper to produce, not because its produced cheaply. since the case doesnt have hinges (which does make everything more expensive and complicated, not to mention, more breakable) and 3d option, which again, is expensive, since it requires a more expensive screen to be used. unlike the psp street model, which is actually produced cheaply and put into a really cheap plastic casing.

more breakable)
O saw that 2DS screen(s) are easier to break in a fall than the general 3DS hinge :B
Also 2DS is a funny 3DS , it's not 3D (a lot say that this isn't relevant, but I do like it lol even more for cutscenes and gameplay that don't make you tilt te console xD) Isn't like any DS family(hinge, visual and pocket stuff) and isn't even have really two screens! haha xD
cheaper to produce,
yeah this is a nice thing being a more acessible consol... buts ad that it's sold for more than an old 3Ds ... that isn't a low price xp

where have you seen that? i mean, yeah, if you dropped the thing screen first into a pointy rock, i guess, but an open 3ds wouldn't survive that either.
and having seen my fair share of broken ds and 3ds hinges, I'm kinda reluctant to believe that. (also, compare fresh hinges to those of a 6 months in use 3ds. they get wobbly kinda quickly)

and if you're comparing used o3ds prices to new 2ds once, maybe they're more expensive. but here, the 2ds sells for 99 bucks new and if you ever run into leftover fresh old 3ds, its between 120 and 180, depending on colors and bundle. while used 2ds are about 80 to 90 bucks and o3ds' are 100-120 used. however, i think you can't even buy a 2ds without a preinstalled game so there's that too.

when 2DS launched I saw a lot of complains of it falling and cracking the screen(s), they said it was normal falls(maybe corner falls?), maybe like these fragile smarthphones of nowadays ? :B

Also I mean new boxed ones ... you can find o3DS , 3DS XL around 500~800(R$) , the cheaper I found a 2DS once was 480 new, both used is around 300~400... maybe don't look much if you converto do dollars but intern, yeah it is XD
Anyway the problem about price is not the console, but the sellers here and stupid taxes xp

I wonder why they'd have them as pre-installed content, thought they had stopped doing that because of the whole legit .cia thing actually.

But then again those would only work on Japanese systems, and if you're using CFW to run Japanese legit .cias on European or NA system then you can just get a non-legit one. :P
Already need hacks to be able to install legit .cias, so if you can install legit .cia then you can already install non-legit ones. I guess if you absolutely want to play them right from clean sysnand, but there's no advantage to that. I guess maybe if you want to have them installed there just in case you accidentally update one day, then at least you'd still have those games available and playable.
