Why does it matter that much? I have menuhax and ctrbootmanager setup to autoboot to gateway mode, holding L takes you into sysnand, and holding r brings up the boot menu. With that if I really want to play DS games I can just enter the system settings and immediately exit holding L.

Not a huge deal, would still be nicer to never have to go to sysnand, especially that i blocked everything with parent control to not update by mistake.

Set your menuhax to no-button launch. Then rename GW.3dsx to boot.3dsx and put it on the big sd card.

I am want to know also, but what is menuhax? I have the regular ds profile exploit. I found the gw.3dx file ... so that is easy. Big sd card as in the one you insert in the system? I assume so, I have a N3DS.

You put them on the SD in the gateway in a folder called cheats

This is why we use CTRBootManager. It gives you a list of options to boot into.

Not only it gives a menu to choose, but you can also specify what keys to do what so you can actually choose what to boot without seeing that menu.
For example, I have
nothing→rxTools emuNAND
L→rxTools menu (can't change that one)
Down+B→sysNAND (set up in menuhax, not ctrbootmanager)
R→Homebrew Launcher
X→Linux
Y→GW
SELECT→show the menu

Lol, that's the second time I share it but yeah, I still can (especially since it changed since last time).
Just pay attention to some things, like the name of the .3dsx for the homebrew launcher, the fact that the L key is specific to rxTools so not described in the cfg, and the fact that booting to sysNAND with Down+B is also not in the cfg but an option in menuhax.

What FW and setup are you using? ctrbootmanager at all?
