I'd assume so, if you get the same steps required to trigger it, and that nothing has been modified in the game ASM, especially index numbers for stats, pokédex, and such.

Well, after looking at the post, it'll definitely work. Nothing seems to have changed in indexes and pokédex entries.

So, trainer-fly in front of a trainer, get a fight against a wild pokémon, special stat of 21, win, return to the escaped fight, catch the wild Mew, profit.
