Anyone know how big the Mario Maker v16 update is? Mines 921mb and Im getting a 0xFFFFFFFF error when installing it

EDIT - NVM, turns out I was downloading the game rather than the update. Fucking stupid mistake haha, been trying to install it all day

I have that problem too. Seems to be a common one on some WiiU's.

Anyone got an estimate on how long I should wait for the Smash update? It's unusually big.
The OP says the MK8 update takes about 15 minutes, but the Smash update is almost twice as big. Not sure if double the size directly translates into double the wait time.

Make sure theres only 'install' dir on sd-card, not sure if it's must tho. Then make new user and try running exploits from the new users browser. Bookmark the exploit.wiiubrew.net and use the wupinstaller from there.
If it hangs etc. go to system settings and close it back to wiiu dasboard then open browser and try wupping again.

I tried two days to get it running with no success other than hanging and once black screen. It used to work atleast 95% with the original eclipsesin's mirror, tried the devtools and del cookies tricks too. Didn't do complete browser reset tho.

No luck with making a new user, but it did randomly start to work again after I cleared cookies. I also googled around to see if anyone else had work-arounds and tried using http://wiiutools.com/WUP/wupinstaller.html instead of any of the other websites. I guess some combination of those two things fixed the problem.

Edit: Never mind. I had my hard drive plugged into the wrong system. The Wii is sitting beneath the Wii U, and for some reason I had my Wii U's drive plugged into the Wii.

I'm trying to download the updates for Xenoblade Chronicles through NUSgrabber but I think I may have done something wrong or I'm getting wrong files. Right now the download is 1.7gb and it's still downloading. Are the updates really this massive or am I downloading something else?

I checked the updates from tagaya servers and there are still v16 in both EUR and USA eshop.
last versionlist is 1059, last game version is v16

maybe you have a newer version list?

Am i right in thinking wupinstaller.com/wi no longer functions as intended from reading the other posts in this thread?

I can load the above link fine, then go back and load it again fine, however when i exit to the home menu I not get a black screen with "Install ok" displayed, I then can't do anything except power the Wii U off. In the past I remember the Wii U had to be on the home screen to idle for a while as the update installed.

Form what I can see there are many people having issues with WUP installer, I host mine locally, using the package from exploit.wiiubrew.net and it works every time.
Ive installed 4/5 updates and they all installed correctly.
So Id suggest that you use that site above, or host it locally using the 'self host package' on that site.

Hi there, I got a couple questions:

1.) Is it possible to uninstall the 5.5. Firmware Spoof? I wanted to update my Wii U to the original 5.5. version because I am currently a bit annoyed about my NUSgrabber doesn't want to work.
Or should I just update over it? (I don't know yet how this works with the spoof, my internet setting is still disabled)

2.) If I can uninstall it, does it later harm my Wii U by any means?

no, you can't go back.
you can only update, not downgrade a title version.
so you can update the spoof from 5.5 to 5.6 when it will be released, but can't spoof a lower version.

If you want to update to official 5.5.0, it's possible using online update.
disable any filters you may have to block the updates, and let the console update.
After updating to 5.5.0, please, don't ask how to hack or use loadiine, or go back. it's not possible (yet).

Maybe wait for a 5.5.0 exploit release before updating?
unless you don't want any hack anymore, in that case updating is fine.

I left it downloading overnight and ended up with 20gb worth of files. I must have done something wrong I suppose.

you downloaded the full game.
if you wanted the update, you need to edit the TitleID.
it's explained many time everywhere.

0 = Full game
E = update

00050000-101C4D00 = Full game (Xeno USA)
0005000E-101C4D00 = Update (Xeno USA)

and of course, remove the "-" when using nusgrabber.

Managed to install the smash update, 1.71 GB, using the archived exploit. The wiiu menu froze but the thing installed anyway, which was not clear to me in the tutorial and caused some confusion.
