That gift was meant to be distributed in Singapore,
where US or JPN 3DS are used.

If you get that message, it means that you are probably using a different region 3DS.
(EU 3DS, I surmise)

additionally,
If the code was collected by someone else, it would have said
"The code is already used."

Anyhow, OP can link back the code for others.

I've got a bunch of Arceus already (inclusive of shiny Japanese ones), so I'm just popping in to see who is stealing codes for Singapore ><
