Hacking Want to stop reliying on gateway. (oot and gateway N3ds combo)

I am one of the people who is still using gateway instead of a cfw. I want to switch to a cfw but since I haven't kept up with the scene so I don't know what my options are. I want to use rxtools if possible but I also want to keep my linked nand. (I already knew about theme hax but it does not work with linked nands) I keep hearing about oot hax, but I don't know if it is possible to use that for cfw and it might ruin my gateway oot save so I wont try without a confirmation that it is possible. I also don't have cubic ninja so I cant use ninhax.

1 of the main reasons I want to use cfw is because I want to use e-shop in game.(I could already enter the e-shop but not when trying to get dlc in smash for example). I have recently found out about hans but i cant use it in gw mode because it only accepts the gateway cart.(I am using a homebrew launcher cia)

any help would be appreciated.

It does and it's completely safe people have this misconception about CIA installation. So long as you don't install anything to your Nand it's 100% safe just install a Cubic Ninja CIA to your Sysnand and use it for the gateway launcher.

would i be able to load rxtools from there because i also do need to be in a spoofed firmware.

You can install games and apps to sd card, even when running on sysnand.
Only system titles and dsiware have to install to nand.

I already knew about that but i want to install stuff to the nand like never for e-shop acces.

Then use FBI in HBL and install Dev Menu to your Sysnand or just use FBI from the HBL.

I own a Gateway card and don't even bother with Emunand (to lazy to set it up again) and just install CIA's to Sysnand without worrying about stuff.

Even better since you own a gateway card just boot Gateway Sysnand mode and install what you want with DevMenu.3DS this is what I did.

Then backup your folders setup Emunand in the Gateway Menu drag all your stuff back and do what I said lol.

I already have a linked emunand that i am not willing to get rid of. The reason i want emunand is because some games i play and own require a version higher than 9.0 and cant play using sysnand.

OK now you're not making any sense what is your end goal, what is it you are trying or want to do?

His goal is to stop depending on a Gateway cart to use emunand, I guess he has emunand 9.5 with lots of cias already.

rxtools is really not up to par with gateway in terms of n3DS functionality. for o3DS, rxtools is amazing. stay in gateway for now while you have your n3DS.

Yes you can, I do it all the time...

You just can't change the theme and use "unassisted" autoboot because it loops backs to meuhax.

You boot menuhax > Boot rxTools > Press some key to disable menuhax.

it's such a hassle with rxTools n3DS right now with this functionality. if you have a cart that has an update greater than your emunand and/or out of region, you'd have to resort to using NTR. also it's quite annoying how you can't change the hotkeys for NTR menu and they're so easy to press, it's quite annoying when you're playing and you open the NTR menu by accident. another thing is CIA installation is not region free. you'd have to rely on freemultipatcher to resolve this. that's 2 extra programs that you need to run just to get near gateway functionality. i personally wouldn't mind that, but the NTR menu is quite annoying for me.
