Homebrew Just recently set up CFW, can't link NNID on sysnand?

Hey guys. So I recently got a 3DS that had <9.2, and was able to set up CFW and an emunand on it. However, in order to use the eshop on emunand, I need to link my NNID on sysnand.

The problem is... I think that something changed server side because I now get "Error Code 022-2511" when trying to link the NNID while on sysnand 9.0... does anyone know why this might be happening?

I also tried the FW spoof through HANS, no dice. Is there maybe a way to hex edit the romfs like with the system transfer app?

EDIT: Turns out that even when in emunNAND, the system settings app loads the NNID Settings app via sysnand. If you need to get your NNID working on emuNAND to properly use the eShop, follow this mini tutorial:

1. Launch FBI.
2. Change mode to "Title Launcher"
3. Scroll through the list, checking the Title ID on the top screen. You're looking for one that ends in: 0002C000 (USA), 0002C100 (EUR), or 0002BF00 (JPN).
4. That app is the NNID Settings app. Launch it, and try to link as normal.

This is likely due to the change in the way the eShop works to combat HANS users using the eShop on lower firmwares. This change was made with the release of firmware 10.3, but not much information yet exists on the specificities of the change.

I figured it out!!! If you use FBI's Title Launcher, you can force the NNID Settings app to open in emunand (via system settings opens it in sysnand.) Then it'll allow you to link it just fine.

Sure, so in FBI, press R until the mode says "Launch Title." Then, scroll down until you see the Title ID on the top end with 0002C000 (USA) or 0002C100 (EUR). That's the NNID settings app. Launch it and link as normal.

Same! It was annoying me having the gift wrap bug/not being able to have custom themes in emuNAND, so I just today decided to unlink them by formatting sysnand.

What if I wanted to create another NNID for use with my O3DS in emunand? Do I need to do any of this or can I simply create a new nnid on 10.3 emunand?

Hmm, that's weird, I'm on 9.2.0-20U sysnand and 10.3.0-28U emunand, I was able to enter NNID settings on emunand just fine in system settings to set up a NNID.
My emunand has that NNID linked now, and my sysnand has no NNID linked.
(At least I'm pretty sure I did this when 10.3 was already out and the whole NNID NVer thing.)

You'd still need this, because trying to go into NNID settings on emunand launches the sysnand NNID app, so there's no way to get to a place where you can log in.

I launched FBI from emunand and it did not work either. I'm getting "error code 022-2634"

My nands are also unlinked. I was originally on 8.0 and I followed all the instructions from this link to install rxtools. https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-installing-rxtools-custom-firmware-3ds-and-2ds.390867/

Apparently it depends on the user. My little fix worked for me and a few others but perhaps for some reason some people can access it no problem, and some not at all even with this trick.

is there any way at all to edit NNID setting within the SysNAND without updating the FW? Some sort of spoof or anything? Would downloading the latest NVER and installing that to my sysnand solve the problem, or is installing the latest NVER to sysNAND not safe?

so that title id isnt listed under my available titles in fbi.so weird. ive triple checked there is nothing ending in 0002c000. im on 9.5 emunand with a 9.0 sysnand. at one point i was able to access eshop with free multi patcher n then when ironhax came out i used pasta on my sysnand to access eshop and download iron hax and youtube. then anytime i tried to access eshop in emunand i would get an error. im assuming its nnid related as i now am trying to access eshop on emunand and i have updated the nver and then i use ntr and then the hbloader cia app then i use hans and access the eshop and before it used to say i needed to update before i installed the nver. now it just gives me an error code.

Press L to change your destination from SD to NAND. That hung me up for a while too.

I also wasn't able to get my NNID linked at all until I completely started over with my EmuNAND. The following steps finally worked:

1. I formatted my sysNAND first to remove the NNID link.
2. I created a new emuNAND from sysNAND with no NNID linked.
3. I used sysUpdater to update to 9.5 on emuNAND.
4. I installed the newest NVER on emuNAND using Title Manager or Big Blue Menu or whatever you want to call it (mine's called Title Manager).
5. Important step: I rebooted into emuNAND. The link process did not work until after I rebooted.
6. I opened FBI, changed the destination to NAND, launched the title ending in 2c100 (because I'm on an EUR N3DS), and was able (FINALLY) to link my NNID.
